The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Hi Viera,
They’re all a bit exciting to be honest, imagine how many people around the world would benefit from these developments. And I wouldn’t rule out these compounds being further researched in the future into what other conditions they could be used for/be a part of treatments etc.
Of course the above would also mean a massive benefit for us SHs as well :-)
And as per MrNation’s post which sums up the agenda beautifully, things are recently looking good for VAL and long may they continue! Blessed
@ grace
I have to start off by saying, you are a lot more clued on with the nitty gritty of the trials and phases, your posts have not been recognised for no reason. When I meant I have a science background, it was more a BSc, so I can understand whats happening to a point, a point which was good enough for me to part with some of my cash. I’ll have to disappoint I’m afraid if you’re looking for a deeper convo on the specifics. I’ve read up on the RECIST criteria as well, I think you have talked about this in past, so making head to toe of what has been happening made sense to me. I don’t mind at all if you are in two minds of something or there is something you want to discuss, I know how to research at least, so feel free to brainstorm, that’s what the board is about I would have thought.
As far my own take on the results and what to expect, reading up on previous RNSs and the clinical trial outlines, 201 will definitely have something positive to give us. It’s been stated enough that it had showed an impact. Positive results of 201 will help push this company further and get it a much needed step closer to help the many who are unfortunately suffering with the terrible disease 201 is trying to target. As we both know, to get a drug licensed and used for public it has to without a doubt go through rigorous stages/phases of trialling. I read somewhere that 201 was being developed in collaboration with cancer research UK..(I may have read wrong) which basically means a lot of the bigger pharmas out there will have been watching closely so far. A positive result would definitely put VAL on the radar for further phase progression with external involvement. Going by the recent large investments made, by seemingly knowledgable individuals, and of course your own positive comprehension of the various compounds, it’s all pointing to a great outcome.
We must always keep level headed however, I’m in two other companies where there has been positive news but the SP hardly moved or dropped a little. The current sentiment and exposure of VAL however would mean a respectable increase and more strength in the company as a whole.
In terms of investing though, It’s a chain reaction, positive 201, and of course positive results for the other compounds down the line, would make this company a strong long term hold, but in the short term, a definite money tree about to bear fruit in my opinion :-)
Apologies to all for chatting a load of sh**e and good luck to everyone holding on here. One team!
Have a great day Grace! Let us know what you name the pup :-)
Morning grace :-)
You have definitely not scared me away lol..takes a lot to scare me away!.. and bankfool, in the most respectful way mate, take a chill pill yeah. Everyones free to do what they please and how ever they choose to invest is their own prerogative. We’ve all worked hard to earn our money and now would like our money to work hard for us. At the same time I feel theres nothing wrong with investors getting opinions/advice from fellow investors cos at the end of the day we’re all sort of business partners investing in the same company. We should work with each other and discuss things even more in that case to make sure our investments are good and being utilised correctly.
I know what you were asking me grace. Just to make it clear I am new to this board but I have been invested here for a little while now, and been watching the company for a little while before that. So when I was asking about alba, it was more because I respect the opinions of those invested here and over there as they talk sensibly, the thought process is one which can be used as a vehicle to do ones own research and build a bigger picture.
Its well known that if we don’t discuss things with our peers (each other) then sometimes we can misinterpret things and make wrong decisions or not so fruitful ones. Hence the reason and desire I believe for Grace to want to discuss results and future probabilities etc
And bankfool mate, just a tad depressing to know if you were to open or close your positions to Spite sheep rather than do it in an ethical personal way. But then again everyones free to use their own strategies and sentiment. Your posts are respectable, you clearly have a lot of experience in the game, help others with your experience mate, it feels a lot better than making money.
Good vibes and blessings
Hi all,
Im a newish investor here, and have been in 7dig since it was floating for a while at around 3.2p..but watching since 0.22 days. I obviously missed the first boat lol, but felt it was still worth injecting some money into their model and plans. After several weeks they done a fund raise which obviously dropped the share price. Can anyone tell me whether its genuinely worth holding on here, I’m in two minds, but of course I have been reading up on what they’re planning and the potential going forward. Just have this niggling feeling the CEO may be gassing a bit to keep people from selling out and hopefully he is not taking the biscuit.
P.s This post is not an open invitation for derampers to start their usual ****e. Just looking for solid thoughts and sentiment here.
@darkhorse..liking your posts in general mate. Pay no attention to chisler its actually pathetic the stuff coming from that one.
Good luck to all invested here
Hi Grace
Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for your advice on checking out alba. Ive seen yourself and others have some reasonable thought processes within your posts hence I value an insight into the mindset you all bring to the table. I’ll be seeing some of you over at the alba bb for sure:-)
I have some sort of science background also so I’ve been able to make sense of what has been happening here with VAL and what is yet to potentially come!
Valuefinder many thanks for getting back to me as well. I appreciate your insight. I guess with most of this investing game within AIM seems to have some sort of risk/gamble connotation attached to it, more so than some other markets. I feel some of you guys/gals come up with some decent educated predictions and insight and therefore it creates some proper starting points for further research etc. for newer investors like myself.
Colbaltblue I have to say I agree with you there regarding SAR and the potential. Good thing I guess is that the SP is holding well enough to have some optimism in the overall sentiment at present. Im very glad to hear you’ve made some money back within VAL, I’m aware of the madness LTHs here have had to endure over the years. More blessed times ahead for all I hope.
As for alba its looking more and more attractive to have a ‘punt’ at, watched a few of their youtube videos on their channel and had a snoop around on their website. They’ve been all over that mine for a little while, I’m assuming they’d have given up time ago if there was no hope. A definite on my watchlist!
Good luck to you all within your respective investments! Much respect
Hi CB,
Yes I have an ever so small stake in SAR. Was tempted to pull out last week due to the lack of decent movement and momentum on the SP/news, but decided to hold tight for now. Something seems to brewing, they have been working on something for a while it seems. Lets wait and see I guess.
Sorry I haven’t been much help
Good luck if you decide to invest over there
Hi OB
Its a pleasure to be here for sure
Hope you have a good weekend
Hi everyone,
My first time posting on LSE or anywhere for that matter. Been following this board for a while and am invested here since July holding long for sure...things are looking good for this company as of late definitely in terms of what they’ll potentially be providing for the health sciences industry but the potential ROI is also massive.
Just wanted to say that the board in general has great people on it and it has so far been a joy to read the posts.
I don’t want to deter the flow of this board and start discussing other shares but can Grace, Valuefinder and Saint-Tropez share some insight on what the sentiment is regarding ALBA please. I saw some of you guys talk about it earlier, have had a brief read on it, and am keen to look into this one as well. (By no means will I be holding anyone to their advice/suggestions..we’re all adults here making our own decisions)
GLA to all on this board ??
