Yes, I've just made my 1st buy here based on this. From Henderson's website: "Henderson is an independent global asset manager, specialising in active investment." And now they have 15.63% of SGI. Interesting!

When asked about the "when" of acquisitions he said : "We do have an extensive pipeline, and some of those are at fairly advanced stages, so keep watching!" [My transcription, DYOR]

It's now two months since the placing. From that RNS : "Since IPO, the Group has made considerable progress in executing its growth strategy by extending its range of services and adding new geographies both organically and through selective acquisitions. ... The Placing proceeds will be used by the Company to continue this strategy and make further selective, value-enhancing acquisitions." So I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been any acquisition news since then. Still, I suppose it's good that they're not being rushed into anything. The potential takeover targets will know that the money is there waiting, so perhaps they're trying to be greedy!

So, if fines were proportional to spillage volume, we'd be expecting a fine of $37,500. Though it probably doesn't quite work quite like that...

I agree, overblown. I'm visualising it as an area 100 metres by 80 metres, 6 cm deep in gunk (assuming gunk density is similar to water), which doesn't sound too bad - though regrettable of course. Looks like the market agrees too, as the SP is slowly crawling back up.

Down 7% this morning, but I can't see find specific reason for it. Does anyone have any idea?

I emailed LSE and they've fixed it. So, now, what are they going to buy with all that new cash? My guess is that it will involve China - it just seems an obvious next step.
