I will be surprised if Zephyr doesn't go for the above. It provides the opportunity to acquire 10% of the Captiva Energy working interest with a further 8o% available, and the only reason it hasn't been taken up earlier relates to the virus and a resultant slowdown.
The capital costs for the drilling have fallen by at least 30% and the breakeven price will be below US$30 per BOE. The development comprises an initial 12 well programme. Zephyr has already declared it a low risk development and given the wish to make a partnership relationship with Captiva Energy everything seems to point to a positive decision. Any day now I'd guess.

I think your interpretation is correct, Northern Magic , in relation to the above. Like you I also wonder whether Zephr might need to raise more cash if they are to be involved,(although I don't have a problem with that, in principle). However they do have time to progress the Paradox drilling before a decision is made. Also they are awaiting the current developers schedule to see whether involvement might be timely.
The Zephyr management seems to me to be very astute and hard headed, (and informative to shareholders], which gives me more reasons to be happy to be holding here.

Hi papaduke, I totally understand the misclassisication of buys and sells. It is an unfortunate,(and completely unnecessary ), feature of AIM trading. I wasn't referring to that. Over the past week there were many many trades that were done for "housekeeping " reasons . Trades at almost the same time for almost the same price and value. There was also a clear intention by MMs to lower the SP while at the same time making it difficult for those trading to recognise the beneficiaries of their actions. We still haven't seen any clarification of who they might be. No RNS. That is manipulation. Without that activity I believe that the ZPHR SP would now be well above 4P.
To be clear I am a firm believer in Zephr and the team running it. And I've voted for them with my money.

On the back of circa 6M share trades today , (more sells than buys) , the SP has risen by close to 9% and over the past week it fell 18% for no apparent reason and in light trading. Those who can't see the inference don't understand the market.
And , by the way I'm commenting not "moaning". And I have no doubt that, from my holding here, I gained more dosh today than all those who took issue ,( and misunderstood ), what I posted put together!!

The SP has gone absolutely nowhere over the last four months. Despite some good news and some trenchant podcasts from CH nothing good has happened to the SP and the signs are there that it has been heavily manipulated to cut back any significant rises which have taken place . As a very significant private investor in ZPHR that troubles me. This is AIM where jiggereypokery is rife and good news can quickly disappear in a cloud of dust and contrived trading.
I'd like to understand tha SP machinations but I do not. What I want to see is some solid progress which lasts and does not vanish in a week of manipulation.

A day when a large proportion of the trades were "housekeeping" related , so the SP increase was welcome. Over the past week or so the SP has been managed closely. I don't know the reason for that but the MMs have clearly been assisting someone, ( or some people) to trade to a particular pattern.If it had not been so the SP would be well past 4p now. Patience?

The three "sell" trades at 10.55, 10.55, and 18.17 are not easy to explain. They could be financial management trades of some kind or private sells/buys between institutions or even individuals. Or one of the trades may have been,mistakenly, printed twice. Only a RNS can explain the action and we may not get one in relation to these.
What is clear is that the sp has been "managed" for the past week. Therein lies the risk with a sudden high riser like ZPHR. But todays unusual rise in the number of trades is significant.

the SP is being held down ,again, to accommodate a large institutional buyer who wants to get in at circa the 3p mark. So we may see a related RNS, or some late reported buys. This is money for old rope for such investors ! They can't miss !
What also seems clear is that ZPHR is well under the radar of most private investors on AIM who like to buy in at prices below 1p because they cannot imagine substantial price accretion related to a 3p plus oiler. I think they've got this one wrong. A three bag from here looks eminently possible and,(in my opinion), eminently probably. And soon!

But I do think it will be a biggie. Brilliant management. So far they've done everything they promised. And on time. Really looking forward to the next three or four months.

Not at all popular as one can see related to the relatively few posters here and the low level of investment activity despite the wealth of really good news announced over the past months. Perhaps it is not very well understood. Or more properly , perhaps the prospects being indicated are not believed. And that perhaps due to the past association with Rose.
I am heavily invested here with more wriggle room due to the recent placing and I am tempted to go again such is the strength of my belief in the Management and the whole concept. And I don't think I will need to wait long to see my already strong gains increase. Hope I'm right!

The GM takes place and the second tranche of the placing shares will, almost certainly be approved by the shareholders. Another important bit of business wii, thus, be cleared.

@Thirdtime lucky1. Sorry but I didn't see your 14.26 post earlier. Possibly the MM's are managing a large buy which has been set below 3p and they want to accommodate the investor. But there could be many other reasons. Tomorrow all may become clear.

The sp is being managed to keep the price below 3p. I've just made a trade,(a buy), which was one of the largest of the morning and it hasn't been reported. So up to now the MM's are working to keep the sp below 3p. Lets see what the afternoon session brings.

Interesting that some relatively modest trades, ( today 2,445,000, Im, 900,000 ) are being late reported. Same thing happened yesterday. And they were all buys. One has the impression that the MM's are keeping the brakes on from day to day. Until the final approval for the Placing has been given!? But they are definitely restraining the upward SP movement. When the brakes come off,(perhaps tomorrow), ZPHR will fly. The SP I mean!

Will ZPHR crack 3p. It may well do. That's what makes me salivate. Such excitement! Must be one of the best prospects on AIM!
