......in my mind, it seems this 'problem' was being managed as you would expect. Ok, so never great to encounter these problems, and indeed EuroChem were notified six months ago of a termination of contract, but this shows it clearly isn't a new problem. I aint an expert, but it seems to me this is somewhat OTT by EuroChem. May be I am too positive! Thoughts anyone? Cheers TS for the background......

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (Reuters) - EuroChem, Russia's largest mineral fertilizer producer, said on Frid ay it had filed an $800 million compensation claim against Shaft Sinkers for delays to the building of a lift shaft at one of its potash projects. EuroChem said it had filed the claim with the Swiss Chambers of Commerce in Zurich and the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. London-listed shares in Shaft Sinkers, which builds mine shafts, were down 7.2 percent by 1035 GMT. EuroChem said it was seeking compensation for the delay to the start-up of potash production as a result of Shaft Sinkers' failure to complete construction of a cage shaft at its Gremyachinskoe deposit, the company said in a statement. The deposit is one of two greenfield potash projects EuroChem is currently developing in Russia. A Shaft Sinkers spokeswoman declined any immediate comment. EuroChem has said the commissioning of Gremyachinskoe has been delayed to 2015 from late 2013 as a result of 'difficult subsoil conditions'.

can you elaborate on that?

Didn't hear a figure but suspect it is the same news....

...I heard that the miners had decreased their demands....but note, this was on the radio while I was busy and I aint verified it (R4 or R5 - so shld be reliable). Just hope I aint heard what I want to hear rather than what they said! Sure I heard it right though as LMIs price went up yesterday. Hopefull this will start its rise.....had a great day on GKP today fingers crossed this will start to do the business. GLA

......as you know though, it doesn't apply to many AIM shares but useful to know. I only stumbled on that info by chance but glad I did. GL

......some AIM shares can be held in an ISA (I also use HL) if they are dual listed i.e. in another country. Cluff Gold for example, which have cancelled out this SHFT drop for me. Not a ramp for CLF by the way. FWIW I am not worried by this drop here as feel sure we will head back north soon enough......
