True story
Few weeks ago senseman contacted by old friend teaching Kabul University. In extremis could senseman be UK contact point/ temporary home for 26 yr old 4th yr law student Aria, if could only escape Kabul via UK plane rather than US plane. Girl was university main female Taliban target - posting democracy/ women's rights/anti-Taliban on Twiter, FB & Igram - receiving Taliban death threats on all 3. Girl deleted FB & Igram to protect friends, kept posting Twitter, went into hiding. Knew if caught likley die - a fighter - the real deal. senseman said yes
Caught once by TB but escaped before identified. Last gasp escape to US few days ago with parents & 2 younger siblings, current in US holding camp El Paso Texas, shortly be relocated anywhere in US. AT 26 effectively main family breadwinner (& strength) if (and when) can completed 4th yr of law degree n US. Parents non-functioning. Huge load - young shoulders
A (her) US friend launched relocation funding appeal, target $30K, current circa $5K
Link is relocation fund with fair precis. senseman asks if those feeling noble can read and if minded consider chipping in $10 - $20 or whatever to keep girl feeling chipper. Not much fun landing in huge new place with couple of bags & all old life hopes & dreams left behind, and knowing you are strongest one in family at 26. She wont waste any help given. senseman could post links to show her character - but if TB know she escaped, may target friends & extended family left behind.
