By all means people should have the right to decide. But if they decide not to, their movement and access to public spaces and places should be restricted. The social contract does not entitle people to pure free will in such circumstances. A citizen does not have the right to expose other citizens to needless risk. Not only is there the risk to others factor - there is the drain on public resources and finances. I don't have the right to drink drive, or not wear a seatbelt because, quite apart from the risk to my own health and that of others, the financial and resource cost of rectifying my misdemeanour in event of accident is huge. I forget the figures, but the remedial cost to the NHS of someone going through a windscreen lies between a quarter and half a million quid.
I don't accept your figures but don' t have any to hand to counter them. And I take grave exception when someone cites the 'where do we stop' argument. it is the argument of fools. To illustrate - speed (motoring) kills - the lower the speed the fewer road deaths. So let us ban all cars for zero road deaths. It is clear that that argument is specious and isolationist. The answer of course is that things should always be viewed in perspective.
So I support the right for someone to decline vaccination. Provided that they forfeit certain societal freedom entitlements. I repeat - I do not see how this exceeds basic common sense reasoning
