But assuming everything he said was true he traded a small percentage off the top of his holding. I've heard of worse crimes.

Don't really think volume is measured in share numbers. It's mainly about value traded. And a little about percentage of float traded.

Yes and the greenwashing is absolutely the thing. We've been waiting years (decades?) for our product to roll out. And while we've been waiting, since I've been invested anyway, we've been constantly pointing to this fuel and that shipping company and their various successes. Well, I ask you, in all that time has there been a full rollout of a future fuel, or is everyone basically still using HFO 20 years later?

I mean, it's more progressive than that but it's certainly a compounding element to any share price. And much more than that, if you're promoted to the senior market in a jurisdiction or the top index (in this case the FT100) you'll then get all the ETF money trained on those indices.

They are correct. Not because it's risky but because there isn't enough volume/liquidity or even enough market cap to satisfy the position they want to take.
