RDS how long until trading begins in the upside down land? anyone know??
rds yes Cynic be a good boy and stop upsetting the idiots
COST newspapers full of that nice Mr Bush Report: U.S. may hit Iran with nukes April 9, 2006 So when he hits Iran with conventional weapons instead, that will make us all feel so much relieved won't it!? Any companies with Iran links will be effected, and if the stock markets generally rely upon Mr Bush's analytical brain, then maybe its a time to sit out on conventional shares. Maybe oil shares are a big buy if Iran gets hit by anything, or at least maybe oil shares will be less affected. Costain need to break with Iran by whatever means it takes. Its sp is tainted by any involvement, no matter how small.
CASH Through my investment in the wonderful Artemis Special Situations fund. Artemis (Respect) have increased their holding. As far as I am concerned this is practically recommendation enough. Must admit, its not my type of company for share purchase, but hey, Artemis Spec Sits says plenty.
it did seem rather nasty to chimps, but funny just the same
RDS (WMH) yes not recently, but I have played with WMH on several occasions and made money every time. At my age I sometimes forget which ones I bought and sold.
ok, I have a bit of fun, life's sometimes too serious and maybe sometimes I get a little too frivelous when one considers making money is such a serious issue. But for all my frivololity, I havenoclue FRI 22:19 attained new heights of humour as far as I am concerned. Nice one IHNC. enjoyed the humour immensley.
RDS (WMH) think of it as my contribution straight to the bottom line
TTR not really brand awareness is it? I would prefer to think of it as bland awareness. ho ho ho.
RDS (WMH) thats an extra tenner towards WMH profits. Been up to the charity shop as I do each year. Given them a tenner. This is what I did. Got a piece of paper, wrote "Jack High £10" and ticked the box marked 'WIN'. To continue the ritual, I am obliged to sit and watch the telly and have two large glasses of Irish Whiskey, and settle down for the rest of the day at home. It's not as if I'll be going back up to the shops, is it? Morale of the story, if you marry an Irish girl, be prepared for some wierd rituals.
NSO nice one Chan
NSO The increase in turnover, and possible entry into the profit side of the pitch will I am sure have an upside effect. Down to earth company with potential. Future governments legislation can and will have a positive effect on this one, I am sure. Interesting. Small cap/Big potential, sometime.
TTR two year deal, which of course will most likely include one year in the championship (not to be confused with the champions league, as if!!!!)
rds it's purple and green and has got a power ranger on the front and I wear it in bed. Before you make a laughing stock of me, I WAS JOKING. Isn't the very nature of us anti-suit?
rds come again?
rds you can tell its friday
RDS (SUR) Oztrader, what events have had most effect on SUR sp, what rocks their boat so to speak. 4 in the morning is a bit early for us brits, assuming you are an ozzie, I reckon you won't understand that concept.
CHP Cockenzie, the people here are using RDS for generalised chat (so ive only recently noticed). Would you mind if I gave some general advice about getting started. I'll post here now so you will see it. 1. markets go up and they go down. We have had generally sustained growth for quite a while. Wait until you get several months of a general market downturn, coz they do happen quite regularly, whilst you may/may not be commencing the investment at the bottom, at least you havent started at the top. 2. Use the time to learn and play fantasy shares. Do it as if for real and be honest. Use a fantasy share site. Compare your results against a quality unit trust provider (Artemis Income is as we know the very best, well I think so). If you dont beat them, join them.
