To be honest I don't think I'm the one being simplistic. Neither you nor I have a clue how much Corallian shares are worth. I doubt the Corallian shareholders even know, but I'd bet S&S know exactly. In my opinion that's why they were so pleased to take on the extra percentage at the price they got.
I know it's hard to accept sometimes, but the Reabold board are ten steps ahead of us. In fact, the opinions on here are usually laughable.

To be honest I don't know if Corallian's shareholders who took up the offer knew any more than us, but it gave them the opportunity to cash in profit, and doesn't prove it was a bad deal for RBD shareholders. When I read what the CEOs plans were, I hoped Corallian's shareholders would go for it, but then maybe I am as green as I am cabbage looking.
With regard to California, it's seems to be ticking away in the background by self-funding, and Romania has stalled, but both are probably miniscule in comparison to West Newton or Victory.

As far as interviews are concerned, of course we know they are heavily controlled, but I like them because they add a personal touch to the information you get in an RNS.

What I am disappointed with, is that you can't speak directly to the CEOs, but have to go through their PR company. But David Bramhill will chat to investors, so there is some JV contact available - although that's no excuse for RBD not to do it.

To be honest Uggy and artyth, none of us have the faintest idea what the facts behind the deal are. Early next year we'll know whether it was thoughtless, was verging on criminal (both of which I personally very much doubt), or whether it was a fabulous deal for RBD shareholders. Maybe it will be somewhere in between, but unless you are looking to sell in the short term, a lower price now is of no consequence - unless you are hoping to improve your holding of course.

My understanding is that if directors buy or sell shares, it has to be RNS'd, so I can't see how Sachin Oza would be improving his average. Maybe you know something I don't Uggy.

If I ever get to the stage where I hate directors of a company I'm invested in, I won't be posting it on some crappy bulletin board, I'll be knocking on their front door. Maybe you should rethink your strategy. Perhaps you should sell and that would make you feel better. Surely you can't be far underwater at this price?
