Put out feelers to use EUA shares as collateral. Many will say you'll never manage that, but you can. May be a lower loan to value and higher interest rate, but it can be done.
I've borrowed against stocks before, albeit FTSE 100's. AIM will be more challenging but possible.

However......
It all depends what happens to RR share price.
If they increase by 10% then rights value will, and reverse true.
The point of taking the rights is 2-fold, you believe the future is positive and RR shares will rise, and also you maintain your % of the shares in issue, else your holding will be diluted.
Probably not out as clear as Poleaxe, but hope you get the gist.

@ Batfasted. I think, you've slightly mis-understood Rox's point.
The RI was a disaster at take-up, since we were all buying far cheaper on the open market.
As such, II's who backed the 12p price, got saddled with them, instead of making their usual profit.
So, plenty still floating around in the market, looking for an eventual home.
Hence, downward pressure continues on price.
Rox, was just asking how many still floating.

My post is said like a true holder of the old original IPO shares at £1.85 old money. Yes, that's right £1.85 old money, equates to C. £27.75 new money.
Struth, i am one of those holders (only modestly, though).

I follow your logic.
There are better brains on here than mine, so interesting to see any-one else's take on things.
Try and keep it fairly straight forward though, as Casa did.

Yep, we are the exhaust fumes, from an accelerating engine, as far as Stroll is concerned.
But, we'll be ok long term, until MB buy-out AML.
That must be their plan. They've parachuted Moers in, on the inside track.

Forget Dragons Den, there is now Stroll's Den.

i). Stroll has got MB support through use of their technology, in exchange for 20% of the company.
ii). Much of the expensive debt that was holding AML back has been re-financed (hopefully at lower rates).
iii). Yes, we've been diluted, but the cake is suddenly much bigger. So, a net gain for us Pi's.
iv). Stroll not interested in us Pi's, we are an irritation. Hence behind closed doors arranged placing.
v). The drip-feed of shares to MB is under-pinned at 62p.
vi). This is effectively the financing for the 5 year plan.
vii). Ultimately, once a profit is returned, MB will buy out AML. IMHO.

So, in summary, good news for us. We, will be dragged along and enjoy a higher SP.
After usual shenanigans this morning, i expect price to settle at 62p. Which should be the new 50p.

I originally got into AML at the old old price of £4.40!! Much happened since then.

At least we will be past this constant verbalising of what/when/how/if/maybe!!

I don't see what is so confusing here.
If you buy/hold until close of play on 27th, you get the rights.
If you don't buy/hold then, you don't get the rights.
So, price will fall away first thing on 28th.

i). yep, the inclusion of the £140M.
ii). IPO. Whilst painful for many (including me with my small number), as for AML provides a sober reminder and doesn't allow company to pretend it didn't happen.
Slight correction to Roguemale the IPO was at £1.85 (old money). Yes, old money!!!!

I think that you are all discussing the old chestnut of the circular square differential.

Price, value, worth, and cost can all result in differing figures to differing people at differing times.

I'm looking forward to Rox's chart, since he produced a valuable, often referred to, table over on Aston Martin after all their shenanigans.
