a lufthansa flight was left without a pilot at the controls for about 10 minutes after the first officer lost consciousness while alone in the ****pit, nearly overflying its top-of-descent point.

the incident, which just came to public attention following the release of a final report, happened aboard an airbus a321 en route from frankfurt, germany, to seville, spain, with more than 200 people on board. everything appeared normal until roughly 30 minutes before landing, when the captain stepped out to use the bathroom. he told investigators the first officer had shown no signs of distress at the time.

but when the captain returned eight minutes later, he found himself locked out of the ****pit. investigators later learned that the 38-year-old first officer had unexpectedly passed out while alone on the flight deck. atc was reportedly unable to reach the aircraft.

This is a big deal if they are using SEE technology.

May 5 (Reuters) - Alphabet's (GOOGL.O), opens new tab self-driving unit Waymo said on Monday that it plans to build Jaguar I-PACE and Zeekr vehicles with its autonomous technology at a new plant in Arizona as soon as this year, with Canadian auto parts supplier partner Magna International (MG.TO), opens new tab.

Waymo, which started as a small self-driving project within Google in 2009, has expanded slowly but steadily in a tricky autonomous vehicle market that has witnessed several casualties due to soaring investment, tight regulatory requirements and tough technological hurdles.

The Mesa, Arizona, factory is a multi-million dollar investment and has created hundreds of jobs, Waymo said in a statement, adding that this is a step towards scaling Waymo One — the company's fully autonomous ride-hailing service.

Waymo One is providing more than 250,000 paid passenger trips each week in San Francisco, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Austin after more than 4 million paid trips in 2024. It plans to add Atlanta and Miami and then Washington, D.C., by 2026.

I know but I hope they are discussing ways to manage or even mitigate the FED Hermes share sale.

Hi all, it possible for SEE to use the cash currently held on its balance sheet to acquire the remaining shares held by FED Hermes? The continued overhang from their stake is putting significant downward pressure on the share price, and it’s unlikely we’ll see a meaningful recovery until FED has fully exited.

If SEE can resolve this overhang, we would be in a stronger position to pursue a placing at a significantly improved valuation, potentially around 4-5 would be favourable, particularly if supported by further contract wins & positive commercial momentum.

This could also open the door to more strategic funding opportunities or partnerships—whether through fresh institutional appetite, or by cutting a deal with a key partner such as Valeo or Mitsubishi, especially as we approach or reach cash flow positivity.

Any thoughts?

If PMG & Martin don’t announce a contract win or something to save the day then everybody loses !

In the ‘telegraph newspaper today’

Currently, a selection of models from Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Daimler, Kia, Subaru, Mazda, Volvo, Polestar, Tesla and Xpeng already feature camera-based DMS. Moreover, its prevalence is set to expand dramatically across all car marques. For example, Volkswagen has just launched the Tayron with a camera-based DMS located in the rear-view mirror. It will follow up with the Volkswagen T-Roc and a small electric vehicle. It also confirmed it is working on equipping all its other vehicles with a camera-based DMS by mid-2026.

What we really need now is for SEE's marketing team—or Magna—to clearly highlight why this innovation is groundbreaking and a genuine 'world first.'

Other OEMs must surely be noticing this trend toward mirror-based DMS and finalizing contracts. Realistically, how long can they hold out before they're left behind?

Like everything, no100% proof or certainty that SEE will rollout its DMS in the iXS. As usual no announcement.

All we do is make assumptions. No one predicted we would not have 3 million cars on the road by now. Even Colin B predicted previously we would be in almost 4 million+ cars by early 2025.

SEE need to show more guts, be proud of the work they have done in BMW & what future models we are in. Poor communication & marketing can’t be blamed on outside forces. Yes we understand the RFQs have been delayed & there is distribution in the auto industry but doesn’t give them an excuse to not announce the first model with the magna mirror which should have been a ‘world first’ & great achievement.

Makes no sense & their marketing strategy needs revision & revamping.

If we don’t get anything material then it’s going to be a long day for PMG & Martin ! The investor day should be filled with bright optimism for the future but more importantly backed up with some solid contract wins that we can all get excited about. This jam tomorrow needs to stop.

SEE has a history of pulling something magical out of the hat when we need it most so really praying they deliver. if we don’t get it then the outlook will look weaker than we originally thought & this is not good for investor sentiment.
