I remember reading it when it was first published, an impressive overview of what the potential was back then. I just did a quick comparison of his number for FY2024 and they are in the same ballpark as my estimates for FY2025, which is not surprising considering the delays we have had.

He's over-optimistic on the PGM ounces produced which is because they have prioritised RoM with higher chrome content to take advantage of the stronger chrome price. Chrome production is stronger than he forecast but the two kind of cancel each other out to some degree.

Trying to forecast the chrome margin is tricky because it's a constantly moving target. The costs are comprised of cost to mine which is relatively stable (and unknown) plus the margin given to the JV partner, which depends on the chrome price.

He said 4-7 days in the interview so it could even be the end of this week.

I'll be here until it plays out one way or the other 'mate'. I'm not here looking to make a few quid trading, I'm here because if one of the projects produces good results the share will rerate quicker than you can press buy on the keyboard! If it doesn't work out then so be it, it's a chance worth taking in my view.

Also we now know that the placing overhang is gone so any buying will reflect fairly in the price.

We are not going in the direction of becoming one of the top cobalt producers in the world. The cobalt price is on the floor and unlikely to recover for years. Cobalt isn't even mentioned on the website anymore.

There is no missing 300 million shares. Just because someone said there was, does not make it true. During the time the funds were selling, PI's using Hargreaves Landsdown and Interactive investor added 80 million shares. Thats just two platforms, there are plenty of others. New funds have also been adding. There may be some shares as yet unaccounted for but nowhere near 300m.

If you want to believe there's takeover imminent then fair enough but until that happens can we at least talk about other things?

8ead, if you are really interested in TNR's motives (which you will never know the real reason for) just cast a look back to what he was doing before he started posting here. He was doing exactly the same thing on other shares. There is nothing genuine about him, best ignored.

Mikie, do you really want to see them plowing profits into another PGM refinery with no guarantee it would remain economic? With the amount of concentrate they are producing I'd be happier for them just to sell it on to one of the big players for 60% of the margin.

I'm sure the PGM stocks will come into play at some point Northern, I've no idea how long we might have to wait for that to happen though. Good to have it in the bank so to speak and when the time is right they can sell the concentrate to Northam or whoever and get a nice return!

I guess the low grade copper stockpiles can be economically processed at the current copper price whereas the PGM concentrate is reliant on a recovery in the PGM price.

They won't RNS it until it's officially granted and they have the paperwork to prove it. That might already be the case as the Cadastre updates are often delayed but the key thing is that it's approved for granting. Hopefully the other two applications follow soon after and we can put any doubts about ownership behind us.

F79, we don't have exact drilling locations but my best guess is that they are within the Handa area although some may spill over into the Zaco licenses. If memory serves, eventually all of that southern area was supposed to be absorbed into the Handa license eventually anyway, thats why there's no LML application on those.

SH, yes Handa is currently the most significant license, containing much of Cheyeza, Muswema and Lumbeta target areas so securing that LML is absolutely massive news.

DE, obviously securing a mining license(s) also means securing the ground for the next 25 years, essential when the JV area is so large. We lost half of the Afrimin exploration license without ever actually getting a chance to drill it, so it's massively important from that point of view. They must have also put forward a case for significant potential mining in order to secure the license....

The volume has been about 2.5 billion shares, which is pretty much what you would expect to clear a placing of that size. I was flagging it as almost done last week.

There's results due from Mushima North, which was to check for precious metals content and Brunton Pass, Nevada. Both due in January. Also the drilling done at Mukai by FQM was being sent for analysis so potentially news on that too in the near future. I doubt it's a leak though.

There is news... the news is that the placing which has been dragging the SP down has been cleared. Hardly surprising to see interest returning considering the minuscule MCAP and the multiple projects currently in play.

The ferroalloy website is already reporting that chrome concentrate SPOT prices are starting to increase a little.

I must admit I was expecting good things from the two additional Thutse modules but to have produced more than half a million tonnes in Q2 when they were still ramping up for much of it has far exceeded my expectations.

Interesting that Northam are building out their processing capacity, hopefully we can take advantage of it when the PGM basket recovers.

We don’t know for sure that FIL have finished selling, only that they have dropped below the 3% threshold and no longer listed on the Jubilee website. The lack of significant selling today suggests that they probably are done though. A TR-1 to confirm it would be good.
