RE: The Sale of Assets a reminder of Progress28 Dec 2023 23:50
888, I think some here tend to read and then try hyping up what Is communicated. Anyhow, I think for a change we are reading similar. Having a number of goldies and a couple of silvers, no matter the high gold price, the share prices are way off their 2020 peaks. Fair to say there should be scope for further rises if pog continues but nothing guaranteed. This is why I have been more cautious on valuation than most. I have often used Shg as a comparison here . The argument against it was that you couldn’t buy Shg for anywhere near the m cap yet Here we have Shg being sold by the bod but also nomad for around £150 m. I think none of the recent aquisition examples show an eagerness to pay big bucks yet. Being in advanced talks is good. Not sure it guarantees an auction situation but it could. One or both could fall by the wayside but hopefully we are heading for a bid. Fingers crossed.
I been disappointed with Shg , I just do not see that it is a good time to sell, I think a years time with proven commercial production at 100 k oz and further exploration would be sensible, coinciding with pog higher hopefully.
I have sold the majority of my Shg and stuck it in various places as Shg is now static in a hot market elsewhere currently but obviously could change. I hope there is a better outcome in Shg and it is possible. Good luck there. And here .
