Actually cnr was around £2.70 when first listed in 2006 , so yes timing is very important considering 14 years later you could buy for 18 p .

Here is something to factor in .real inflation not gvnt manipulated figures .
If you bought cnr in 2006 you would need a sp of around £7 to have the same purchasing power .

This is why I generally look mostly short term now on aim .Bag your profit asap because you cannot trust this market or most aim companies . That is one of the things I like about crypto , it is much simpler . Not much research really needed,no dodgy ceos ,no cheap warrants , no death spiral financers .
I do get wanting it is simple as possible though . Really I have too many different shares to be on the ball with them all and miss a few opportunities and crypto never sleeps .
Each to their own strategies ,as long as it suits you . My strategy is simply to protect my pf and enhance it as much and as quickly as possible . Sitting on your hands doesnt appear to work on aim to me generally so I try and maximize by swapping into moving shares .I dont always get it right but it has worked very well over the last two years with many multibaggers .my two worst shares have been ufo and cnr .
I have never sold out completely in cnr and have really only questioned things that have been borne out ie timescales and making assumptions .I have not really criticised mc . I have just learnt that until something is officially anounced it is just supposition and best to be questioning . I look for the possible downsides as there are always plenty of positive posts .
I would hope you will see your 5 percent growth in cey and cnr this year .maybe try venturing out of the c's if you feel adventurous ;) .

Isa , easy to lose more than 50 p c in aim .well done for trading your way out of trouble .It is the only way on aim imv . If a financial advisor is doing well for you then sounds good . Nobody should be investing what they cant afford to lose . I obviously have a smaller pot than many here so taking more risks probably and ignoring that rule lol .

Cf , definitely thinking about adding calibre and equinox to my modest pf . Calibre would seem perfectly situated presently waiting for gold price to take off . Cnr still have quite a bit to do yet .

Hi isa , yes still got a few cey and yes thinking of adding a few more . Hard to ignore the dividend . Aaz and shg and maybe galantas if they drop a bit more and possibly buy back into hum as a punt .did ok when I bought them around 14 p last time .
Adding a few more omi as they have dropped a lot from the peak . I think they are a good punt along with palm ,wsbn and cobr in explorers .
Cnr is not such a major part of my pf as five years ago but still have a similar amount of shares .

C f , 200 m shares was just an educated guess but I doubt if it will be much less . So my rudimentary maths makes that £1.50 ,not allowing for calibre being debt free and cash in the bank so probably nearer £1 . It will however be around 5 years until cnr are comparable with where calibre are presently so hard to make a very useful comparison . Lets hope predictions of supercycle are correct .
I am adding producers atm as I think they are going to reclaim a lot of ground fast when gold rises . Cnr sp has held up well recently compared to most goldies .
Also been adding on the dips in crypto .whatever is good for gold is even better for bitcoin imv .

Cf , How many shares do we expect to be in issue when we are producing 100 k oz ? I can remember bb predictions here of 120 m shares . I think if you divide £300 m by 200 k shares that would be a reasonable comparison and 3 years to be debt free . Also we may find our estimated aisc may be overly optimistic .nobody is now mentioning the swelling oil price which will be a major expense .
Having said that the ballance is that calibre and most producers have dropped back a fair bit in the last 6 months and we could yet be set for a further leg up on the gold bull run .
Allowing for real inflation cnr needs to hit around £3.50 to be equivalent to £2 ten years ago .

Sold some at 110 not too long ago .price is going to yoyo and crash more than bitcoin when it retreats .best to be nimble here and sell some on spikes . Gla

Blondie , there are plenty of predictions of a lot more than that for bitcoin .upto $250 k this year nd 650 k for 2025 . Yes they could drop back massively like in march when bitcoin was $4 k . Thats when to buy . Omi has peaked at 40 p twice and now has retreated over 50 per cent .
Buying and selling at the right time is key in any investment . Aim is full of bigger cons than bitcoin imv . I like bitcoin as well as pm against inflation .
Not impossible for nm to walk from here too if they shouldnt find what they expect . Lets hope not .

Hi cf , yes I do keep an eye out for their presentations . 60 k drilling for this year . Pavon aisc predicted around $700 . Pavon artisanal grades around $18 g t .

Ot ,have you still got any avct . I sold a big chunk after our exchange last year at £2 but bought back in a month or so ago for a while .

Cf ,good find . Lets hope so .I still think that the other part of that sentence is probably more significant .Ie conversion of mineral resources and further exploration . There is no doubt that a confirmed toll deal would be a significant plus to the sp and preferably confirmed prior to mine funding .

Our new holders F M have encountered tax issues with the mexican gvnt and are going to arbitration . The encouraging news is they are looking to diversify beyond Mexico .Tsg is being taken out fairly cheaply by the Russian state . Aaz were in a war zone recently . Shg cant get their vat out of the gvnt ,hum have had issues with mine collapse and geo political . Nothing guaranteed in junior mining virtually anywhere .
However I reckon cnr sub 50 p is a pretty decent risk reward and entering the final phase finally , with gold hopefully heading further in the right direction ,although I dont like to bank on anything two or three years forward . A jv or buyout obvs is a possibility . good luck

Tester I think you are barking up the wrong tree with your calibre conspiracy theories . The toll deal was first mooted with b2 when gold was circa 1200 and they were making nothing as their ore was coming to an end . So using our much higher grade ore would have made sense to raise their grades .I believe mc was talking about b2 buying the ore ,probably at a set price .I dont believe it was on a profit share basis but could be wrong on that .
Since the calibre team has changed and done the deal with b2 they have been spending on proving up more Gold at the b2 sites as well as the calibre concessions . They are ahead of schedule and under budget on trucking their own ore and have more to come in their stated hub and spoke model . They are already debt free .I dont believe they need a toll deal and are cnr yet ready for one ?
Personally I will be surprised if it happens but you never know .

Tester , R B first investment at 40 p ,April 2016 and second in feb 2017 at 62 p .a discount to the market price of 65 p . There were about 52 m shares then . There are 130 m shares now and the sp is 50 p . Agree his holding is peanuts to him ,which makes exit more surprising to me . Agree his holdings are many . Yes mellon increasing has to be a plus .
E l , I agree that at this point first majestic is of more consequence if they keep hold and increase their holding . However when you look at the speed of equinox progress it is not hard to see why he has got disillusioned after five years holding here .

Tester ,when you mention Ross beaties impending retirement from the mining industry is this your supposition or do you have source material for that . He has anounced retirement at pan american but underwritten equinox latest deal . There is still no tr1 at galantas . Are there other minor pm holdings that you are refering to ? I am a bit behind recently as have been busy .
Anyhow, the addition of f m is a good ballancer and would expect them to take a bigger slice of the main raise this year hopefully .
