Sorry my post below was in the wrong thread, but still relevant. ADVFN is a cesspit, LSE isn't much better. I can't see any reason for any negative posts currently, unless you have an open short position and you're trying to influence without substance.

It's not bizarre it's regulatory, there has been no material news released via RNS that is causing the rise, that's what it said and that's what they are obliged by AIM rules to release. This does not mean that the rise is not justified, however it is based on speculation that the orders that have been mentioned and the results that have been seen during testing are going to come to fruition. The company has to cover it's back and release a speeding ticket which basically absolves them of insider trading. Speeding tickets in my opinion are always a good sign over the coming days/weeks.

It's a 'speeding ticket' the fact is the company are saying they have released no news which is causing the increase, to say otherwise would be to admit to insider trading and being leaky...which clearly they are not going to do. It's standard practice on AIM and we're very likely to see the same rise again, plus more on official news release.

That's not how options work! You effectively buy and sell them in the same transaction, so you don't need cash to exercise them.

That being said, I totally understand him wanting some cash, it's his company and he has to sell the shares at some point otherwise what's the point in having them! If anything I see this as positive news as he wouldn't be able to do this if bad news was incoming.

@purplelakey - Is Tim Cronin still at RB? He used to lead Systems validation there, worked with him for years, previously at Boehringher Ingelheim.

It's a throat swab, still required trained person and as it's a swab not simple saliva then it will be much more difficult to get through CE marking for home use as the procedure is far more complex and open to poor execution by the lay user.

Yes, apologies I wrote revenue but in companies like this the GP is extremely high, like software businesses, which is one of the reasons we often see high P/E ratios as a function of that.

Great article on the rise of Fintech and some of the valuations being seen recently, certainly one thing can be said and that's the the P/E valuations are often in the multiples of ten!

@pigster - my reference about a manufactured test was in reference to the article about the trial in trouble which clearly talks about a home test, bams is not home testing. Therefore I am not concerned about the failing trial being anything to do with avct.
