Lol NewSid, the article did not say VOD will be a protential multi-bagger. There's a list of pro and con:

REWARDS:

1) Trading at 71.9% below our estimate of its fair value

2) Earnings are forecast to grow 29.59% per year

3) Became profitable this year

RISK ANALYSIS:

1) Interest payments are not well covered by earnings

2) Dividend of 6.44% is not well covered by earnings

3) Shareholders have been diluted in the past year

Personally, I will be over the moon if it can go back up to 140's, let alone multi-bagger. Of course never say never, maybe one day it will but I don't know if I'll be still alive....... hahahaha

Interim report next Tuesday robleo. Let's hope that M&G will deliver a good set of results then 248p or higher....no harm for a bit of wishful thinking hey?...lol

Both of my trading and ISA accounts got the dividend today. Now I have £3k to spend. Sorry Dan,
but I am not going to buy anymore VOD......lol

I am thinking of doing exactly the same thing myself. Yesterday, Lloyds went ex-divi and dropped more than 1.8p at one stage(4%!). The dividend was only 0.67p(1.42%!), absolutely ridiculous indeed. Not just Lloyds, almost all of my other shares also lost more than the dividend on the ex-divi day. It will be a much better idea to sell the day before going ex-divi and buy back afterwards. Of course it requires a lot of practice. As skills are needed to do the buy backs with perfect timings. Probably it will not work out first few times but it still worth a try though....... hahahaha

Another step closer to 240p. Maybe it will be 248p next week. Get ready to put your fingers on the sell button robleo!!........ hahahaha

That's just hindsight Taj. The outcome maybe different if Verizon is wholly owned by VOD though.

By the way, why a hell did the Indian government demand £213b taxes from VOD. That's almost ten times of the £11b
they paid for the Indian assets in 2007 and they never made any or made very little profits from that operation. That's crazy!!!

Sorry, the '?' should be the sign for rupee but they don't have the sign on this platform......lol

The Indian government is still not happy with the international court's ruling and they have appealed against the order. It will be already lucky if they stop asking for the ? 22,000 crore(about £213b) tax they demanded, let alone getting any compensation from them. Yes, this will drag on for a lot longer but the good thing is, VOD doesn't have to worry about paying those taxes anymore.

So, we have managed to plug the hole of our sinking boat then huh?....but for how much longer can it stay afloat before capsized, only joking of course......Been another roller coaster day. Good to see that we have won at the end of the day. Hope that we'll have a blue finish to the week tomorrow as well. Good luck all.

Lol Dan, although the sun was baking hot, I still went out a couple of times and pulled up hell a lot of weeds. Got to love the good weather before it goes away as we don't usually have many hot summer days in this country. Must enjoy it to the full. I hope that you all had a good time too.
