As for ALAI, they only got £310k cash in hand and at bank according to its 2020 balance sheet. They are surely unable to keep their current dividend pay out any longer. A cut is inevitable.

I really do hope that the next quarterly dividend will be 2p as well but it isn't very likely though.

Oh Dan, cum dividend is an official word. In the old days I used to see this term very often when buying a share about to go ex-divi. The contract note from my broker would add cum dividend next to the price I paid. You can Google it. Try to type 'cum dividend meaning' and search. You will see the definition.

Dan, so you didn't know what is cum dividend? I thought you were joking, lol. Yes, cum dividend opposite is ex-dividend.
Cum dividend = include dividend
Ex-dividend = dividend deducted

Hi Krustysmegma, last year's final financial report was on July 16. We should expect similar date for this year.

Also last year's next quarterly dividend announcement was on June 21, ex-divi on July 8 and pay day was July 22. Therefore, we should expect the next quarterly dividend declaration any moment from now. Maybe tomorrow or next week. Let's wait and see then.

On top of that we shall hear the result of the 300 MW project completion soon.

Lol Dan, you were joking, right? Cum dividend means includes dividend.....ex-divi only started from 8:00 am. Those two trades were struck at 7:16am. Therefore they were before going ex-divi....

Hi Lynny, they were the first two trades this early morning at 7:16am before the markets open. 400,000 shares @131.78p and 100,000 shares @130.60p.....

I also wonder were these two prices cum dividend? Because they were done before the markets open.

Well, there were also a couple of nonsensical buying before the official market opening as well:- 100,000 @130.60p and 400,000 @131.78!! Bought exactly at the same time 7.16am. I wonder who was the buyer(s)?

Yes, today is the ex-divi day and the pay day will August 6. That's why the SP has dropped like a stone.

As expected, the SP has dropped more than the dividend once again but why do people sell every time after a share has gone ex-divi with the SP drops more the dividend? Why didn't they sell yesterday when the SP has nearly touched 132p!!! Almost 6p less compares to 3.825p dividend. I am really mind boggling indeed, how very illogical!! Why? Why? Why?

....again, the payout should have been pre-determined before today. Therefore both figures could be wrong....

....but if it's calculated with today's exchange rate then it should be only 3.825p(1euro=£0.85)....

According to Dividendmax, it will be 3.884p but have to wait and see if that's correct or not.
