I personally think that the NAV update should be ready and the dividend has also been determined. It's the 300MW project completion they are waiting for. That's my take. Whether I am right or not only time will tell.......lol

Anyway, news seems near now. The SP is trying to climb up again after spending a little while direction-less. The BOD needs to declare the next quarterly dividend as soon as possible because last year's next quarterly dividend announcement was on June 21, ex-divi on July 8 and pay day was July 22. It's getting very late. Maybe they are trying to complete the 300MW project and announce the result, also the assets value update at the same time. So, we should be expecting all these good news very soon.

Hi BasilHope, good post but one of your statement was inaccurate. The last bond convertion did not increase the total number of VOD shares because the bond holders were given shares from VOD's treasury. There were no issuance of new shares. Therefore the total number of VOD shares remains the same.....

As for the Vantage Tower IPO, which has no effect on VOD's shares. I believe that it's because of they were already priced in before the floatation. Of course this is only my personal opinion. Someone else may have a better explanation.......

When a company is buying back its own shares and cancel them then the total number of shares of the company will be reduced, which will help to push up the earning per share(EPS), but it isn't always working, particularly when a company's buy back program is small. VOD's buy back program is a bit different because the shares they are buying back will be kept in its treasury not cancelled. Thus the company's total number of shares will not be reduced. Therefore it has no effects on VOD's SP whatsoever! Hope this will help.....

Hey Dan, so you are holding 160,000 VOD shares then. Of which 130,000 were bought @200p and 30,000 @131p. The total losses would be around £100k. That's a lot worse than me and you seem still rather relaxed. You are really brave indeed amigo........lol

Oh, is it really? So you only paid for the commission but not the other charges? I didn't know. Thought I have to pay for them.......lol

By the way, did you do a dummy buy to verify the total charge?

I am with Lloyds direct investment. I did try to buy £30k worth of RECI before. There was a list of charges came up: commission only £8 but with annual management fee and accidental fee put together came to £1,100! The management fee and accidental fee are both charged annually, not one off! That's day time robbery! That's why I didn't go ahead with the purchase.

Morning Krustysmegma, my friend. RECI is a different share. It will charge you annual management fee plus accidentally fee(also annually). The two put together is more than 3%! Which means the dividend will be minus 3+% a year. It's why that put me off from investing.
