Big mistake topping up too early, not once but twice, 274.7 and 282.4. Barclays says overweight. They got to be joking. It's as bad as Vodafone. Most shares have bounced back except these two........grrrrrrrr

Well, I think whether Lloyds will announce an interim dividend is everyone's guess. We have to wait until the results come out. Let's be a bit more patient.

Luckily, not all my shares performed badly. Many were blue, which has soothed my pain a bit but VOD is the biggest holding. Its loss weighs heavily on my portfolio. Now let's bring on tomorrow and see if it will be better.....

After a red start, not a bad finish for the day:

...but then from 46.555p closing price dropped to 45.555p one minute later:

Who sold this lot at such a big discounted price I wonder? Could it be a typo?

I don't think we need financial advisors here but only agony aunts to soothe our pain. Most shares of my portfolio has turned from red to blue, even Lloyds has reduced from 0.76p to only 0.12p loss but VOD is still well down. If the great Q1 results and a new share buy back program unable to save the SP, can anyone of you positive posters suggest what else can? Oh dear me....

No dan, there were two late ordinary trades, one was at 16:29:43 @115.694p for 1,572,900 shares (buy) worth £2m+. UT of £28m was at 16:35 @126.04P and there was another big buy after the closed: 1,784,600 shares @126.096p worth £2m+ at 16:42. Both were ordinary trades. Therefore most likely were PI's trades. Usually most IIs use automatic trades.

No offense but I surely don't want to see you getting back in because I don't want this to go under £2! ........lol

Hey Dan, I would be also happy to see this going back up to 131p. My last top-up was 132.74p. it will greatly reduce my losses.....lol

Sorry for my posts always seem to show a bit of negativity but I am not a de-ramper, only a depressed investor. VOD is the largest holding of my portfolio, right now over £40k under water. I have absolutely no reason to talk the share price down. I am just being realistic. That's all.

VOD is now a trading share. Traders only look for short term gains. They don't care about the long term prospect. The latest Q1 update was at the top end of expectations. The SP shot up 5.1p but then fell back right away. Why? Because the traders were taking profits. Those two large late trades I quoted the day before. Both were over £2m worth. If they sold with 5p gain then they should have made a lot of money! That's what traders do, many only going for a few pence gain. They will keep on buying and selling. That's the reality. The SP will continue to go up and down like a roller coaster whether you like it or not.

Besides, this is just a chat forum. Whatever we say either positive or negative will not harm or benefit the share price at all. At the end of the day, only actions move the share prices not plain talking! For how many years, brokers keep saying VOD's target prices will be £3/3.50? Did it ever get there? All we saw was VOD's SP keeps walking down the hill non stop! Actions talk louder than words. The SP will only react to actions and actions are only coming from the traders!

Therefore no matter how positive you are. How loud you talk or how loud you shout until your face turned blue. It won't make a bit of difference to the SP! I know many of you want to kill me for what I have said here but I will not respond when you hit back at me because I have already said what I want to say. There's no need for me to repeat it.

Good evening Dan. The table shows that VOD is really high in debt but has come down a little since it peaked at $89+b third quarter of last year. Now down to $84.7b. That's this year March's figures. They have redeemed £1.2b MCB few weeks ago. Therefore it has come down to a little over $83.5b now. I believe they can reduce it further in the near future with fcf €5.2b available....

Let's hope it will be good. See if it will help to push the SP over the £3 mark!

No Dan, UT were £28m @116.04. the two trades I quoted were just over £2m each. They were ordinary trades, which means most likely were bought by PIs.

VOD is now and has been a trading share. People just trade for quick profit. Those who bought in yesterday must have sold out as soon as the SP has got up to 221p and keep on selling since. As far as I can see, this will keep going. Therefore we shall see it going up and down just like a roller coaster or a seesaw, no matter how good the results are. It has become traders' favourite play thing now whether you like it or not.....

Morning Mikey. The ski down hill has already started. It was 5.10p up and now less than 2.50p up. Lost half of the gain since the peak.....oh well, this is VOD. We should have already gotten used to it......lol lol lol

I guess the two large buys yesterday evening must have sold for good profit. Fortune favours the brave....well done guys!
