Muhammad Yunus, may not want to use their own coal, but sometimes as many other leaders around the world have found out, you have to forgo your personal views for the sake of your country, and it’s not always about what you personally believe or want, that happens. It’s about reality, and the reality is that Bangladesh has factory’s that are closing daily due to the power shortage which is putting even more strain on the country, especially the garment industry. Their reserves are running low, their debts and loans are growing daily, their interest repayments by themselves are massive and also growing, and they have built coal power stations that they cannot afford to just close, that need feeding which are now running out of coal because they cannot afford to import it…
Imo, they are being backed into a corner and are running out of time and options, and will have little choice but to opt for mining Phulbari, and if you did not believe that you would not still be here wasting time posting imo…
