Larger land parcels: Solar power plants require significant tracts of land. A 1 MW solar power plant, for instance, typically requires around 3-4 acres of land. With Bangladesh's goal of generating 10% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 (around 4,000 MW of solar power), the country would need approximately 16,000-20,000 acres of land. This presents a major challenge in a country with over 1,333 people per square kilometre, where finding large contiguous land parcels is extremely difficult.

This article sets out all the reasons why Bangladesh will never be able to create as much energy from solar that all those greens are dreaming about.. by 2030 they want to create around 4,000 MW from solar power, this would need approximately 16,000-20,000 acres of land….

They just quite simply do not have enough land area spare to create all this green energy that they will need long term!!!

The interim government had taken oath two months ago with overwhelming public support and amid almost equally unrealistic expectations. The Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a press conference on October 9 to highlight the issues that require reforms before the national election.

“We will present our thoughts on what reforms are needed at this moment and what reforms we need later on,” Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman told reporters after the party held a dialogue with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna on Saturday.

He said the interim government has not come to rule the country rather they have come to build a fair way to govern the nation.

“Their [interim government] task is to pave the way to ensure a fair, acceptable, and peaceful election environment since the nation was deprived of those in three consecutive elections. For this purpose, they must reform some fundamental issues we discussed with the chief adviser.”

Shafiqur said, “Earlier, we asked for two roadmaps for reforms and election. If reforms are successful, the election will be successful. That is why we have given importance to both.”

SGbaby, as I interpret it, obviously, an interim government is set up to manage a country during a time of change, and to organise new elections. Its main jobs are to keep the country running smoothly, maintain order, prepare for the next steps, as well as organising new elections, it can however make new laws, as well as I believe agree to loans with other countries, but while it may have the power to do this and negotiate and sign loans, those agreements can sometimes be questioned later by a new, permanent government and can therefore be changed when it comes to power..

I am sure there must be someone on here more knowledgeable than me on the subject that can give you a more in depth reply to your question…
