The Russian people most definitely are not victims. They support Putin. And let's face it, it's easy to support the dictator throwing his weight around until you hit a Stalingrad moment. I'd force them to walk through the burned out towns and villages like we made the German civilians walk through the camps. They can stop the madness if they want to. No one is that stupid in 2022 that they don't know what is going on. At least there's one consolation - we've discovered that their armed forces are pretty crap.

Interestingly, while their menu is physically the same as ours, the names are quite different. French fries are known as Beria's fingers. A hamburger is known as a Gulag steak. And the Big Mac is called a Tsar Bomba. Due to the metric system, they never got their heads round a Quaterpounder, but a filet o' fish is known as the Crone's Gusset.

Disaster capitalism isn't nice, but the old cliche is "buy when others are fearful" and I don't think I've ever seen anyone pooping their diaper so publicly on one of these boards. The cynic in me thinks you could be just deramping to try to get yourself a lower price by spreading fear and alarm over this issue... but that would be sick... yet you clearly haven't updated yourself on this story, the fire was at a training building and has been put under control.

Bnc, if we are ever sitting at 25p for weeks again, and your charts tell you that the SP is going to jump to 29.5p within a few days and you TELL US THIS IN ADVANCE, BEFORE THE SP STARTS TO RISE then I will be your No.1 fan and go off into exile and leave you to wallow in the adoration of the board. Otherwise - and I think I'm just a bit more exasperated than "bitter" - I honestly don't know what to make of somebody who continually pops in to predict the past. Maybe I should treat it as comedy relief, just part of the fizz and pop of this board when the SP does jump a few pence for a short time and everyone is feeling extra chummy. This time next year Rodney and all that. When we zoom up it's because the charts they predicted it. When we fall back down it's due to "market manipulation" and "this share is being held back".

I complain, but I suppose I shall miss it one day. SOLG will be swallowed by BHP or some such eventuality and LSE will in due course close this board. Just think about that - you won't have Sean Munter to kick around anymore...

Theitalian, fair points - and I do appreciate the BB relationships. Though I didn't hear much condemnation of that awful little bloke who used to called anyone with a less than positive view an "infestor" every single day for months.

I am a small investor at the moment. But consider this:

Had I invested £100,000 in here in 2017 (when I first invested) it would now be worth about £85,000.

The MCAP has more than doubled in that time, yet the patient long term investor has been screwed by dilution.

Ever seen the Dragons on Dragons Den when the hopeful asking for £100,000 for 10% of their business calmly tells them that they will be heavily diluted at the next fundraising? Anyway, you all know my disgust at SOLG dilution (even though it's part of a junior miner journey) which as put my off the load up and wait till the end strategy I once had.

I had hoped this would be the big one for me, but time and experience showed that not only was sitting tight a losing strategy, but it was a massive opportunity cost for money that could be better employed elsewhere.

Of course I would love to be invested to the hilt here when the news drops one morning of a takeover. That's the golden ticket and I'll be first to congratulate all of you guys on here who will make a fortune.

However, as a small investor these last 4 -5 years, nipping in and out, £5000 in for £5500 out a week or so later, not being greedy, not falling for the hype, I've cleared about £29,000 from Solg since 2017. Not bad for a small speculator given that I'm not risking the farm on this anymore.

I'm the biggest fool for not jumping in with the kitchen sink at 12p in 2020 at the height of the Covid panic, but there you go. Not perfect, not even that smart, but I know how this SP tends to behave. Anyone can look at my posting history to see my continual cynicism in the short term, but my optimism for a happy ending here, and in dark times - when people aren't predicting the rosy future and no one is talking about what boats they are going to buy - I have I think stood up against the hopelessness with some sincere encouragement for my fellow Solgers. If my opinions aren't welcome, that's what the blocking facility is for.

No Monte, I merely parody the TA prediction nonsense that engulfs this board everytime the SP goes up by 3p or more.

We all know who that annoys most, but who seriously wants to hear a blowhard telling us - always AFTER the rise - that he predicted it? After all these years don't even you get tired of that?

As for the other old boiler hens who perch on here constantly... they hate me anyway no matter what I say, not only because I disrespect their cosy pecking order but because I'm often right.

Bumping your gums about being a LTH... you only joined here in 2020. I was in this share since you were waddling about parping in your diapers, and am still in. As for your "boat friends" on here, although they always welcome a useful idiot to help keep the chat insanely positive as the months and years drag by, I suspect they regard you (quite rightly) as mere ballast.

There are about 4 old regulars on here who start talking about boats when we go over 30p - they are BnCs 4 hardcore fans, the pensioners who a few years ago wanted to have Nick's babies. Post menopausal now, they sit on their shares like a broody hen on a china egg, happy to listen to tales about charts and movements when the share price is actually lower than it was 4 years ago.

Just sold 18,911 this morning - the ones I bought on Black Friday morning for under 22p when the Omicron panic was unleashed onto the world. Doesn't feel right to be making a profit specifically off of the back of a virus panic and then a rush to gold stocks because of war but there you go. Strange old world sometimes.

I'm keeping 20,000 of these as always, possible "golden tickets" for a future takeover at a decent price, but right now I don't feel we will push beyond 30. With Solg it's always best to nip back out while the going is good and people talking about boats they will probably never see. The people telling you the trend is up, up, up have probably cashed out already.

2 things we can always rely on 100% from you:

1) When the share price goes up by more that 3p in a few days, you will appear from nowhere after the fact to say that your old charts and crayons predicted it.

2) When I remind you that this is what you always do and have done for years, you get very angry and the old humble Fred Scuttle persona falls away and we get a glimpse of the nasty manipulative piece of work behind the mask.

That fact that some of us in here can see right through your routine clearly rattles you- perhaps we aren't buying and selling at times that suit your personal portfolio.

That of course is just me humble old opinion, me being a simple honest bumpkin who only wants the best for folk.
