I'm personally looking forward to Darryl taking the reins. A few of you old hands wanted to have Nick's babies (your words not mine) a few years back, but I feel he delivered as much as he could, and beyond that it was "paddle our own canoe" rubbish against the backdrop of the nightmare of our Cornerstone involvement (talk about a psycho ex wife) and Warren Irvine poking his oar in.

We've been rudderless way too long guys, and if Cuzzubbo is for stronger links with his old bosses as BHP, then I think that will steady the ship... you can all talk about 132p paydays all you like, it's never going to happen now, more like 50p - 60p, but that's still a good return given all the dilution of the last 5 years. As with KAZ, the big shareholders will take the deal they want, they don't care about some pensioner on LSE sneering at "lowball" offers - in the end you'll take what you get and be glad of it. Especially all you geniuses with your alleged 3.4p averages. It may not seem fair but life in unfair, and no one up there at Board level gives a monkeys how long you've been sitting on this one or the "journey" you've had.

What we need is some vision, direction, and some nice announcements that will get us back up to the 30p level.

Been trying since open and could not for the life of me buy a single share under 22p. Bloody Halifax going to negotiated trades every time.

Blood on the trading floor, the wailing of mugs who bought in over 30p... Best time to buy. Been here before, many times now.

Well if you only bought in at 30p+ when the board is full of rampers and day traders and boat owners and Elliot Wave experts, of course you would be marooned. Do you buy something when it is cheap, or when it gets expensive?

This share is exactly where it was when I first got involved in 2014/15. The MCAP has increased, the directors have been well paid... but the small shareholder has been shafted if they sat on their shares like a nest egg. It became obvious that SOLG wasn't a "journey" for us, it was a rollercoaster going in a loop from 19p to 42p and round again. Buy low, sell high and don't believe in the 132p offer dropping on our mat. The copper bottomed foundation to this share is just that - the copper, the huge resources that may or may not lead to a payday for you, but which underpin the dizzying highs and terrifying lows as the years roll by and the future recedes before you. These highs and lows are the real opportunity, not putting your faith in the kindness and wisdom of a board who will happily throw you under a bus.

So if you are marooned, no one else put you there....you're the one who paddled your own canoe.

If some of you wiped your tears for a moment and remembered your belief in this share, why you invested, why you stay invested, you might perhaps be grateful that you can buy more for 23p.

I tend to think of 19p as the "resting place" when we are in the doldrums, but I don't think we will get there. I think a new CEO - if he has any PR or strategy sense - will unfold a range of new and exciting moves. That's why the disappointing news was got out of the way first.

I'm the idiot who dithered over the BUY button in spring 2020 when I could have bought more of these babies for 12p. Yes, 12p in 2020. I didn't. The gloom at the time was apocalyptic.

Conversely I have watched many idiots barge in here at 40p, caught up in the hype and the talk about 132p and Elliot Waves and what boats we are all buying.

Gloomy times right now, but an excellent price for a Black Friday bargain.

Some of you are real wet wipes honestly. The defeatism I saw sweeping across this board this morning was shocking given how much abuse I'm given for just being down to earth about an SP which is exactly where it was 5 years ago (although the MCAP has greatly increased).

A damp squib of an RNS. More delay, dithering, failing to live up to promises, more drift toward even more dilution... come on, this is our meat and drink here.

But it doesn't mean "this share is being manipulated by the MMs", it doesn't mean "the SP is being held down by the big boys", it doesn't mean we aren't sitting on a vast resource, and it doesn't mean that a takeover bid will probably come in one of these days.

Most of you were so disappointed this morning simply because you talk everything up here all the time, we are always on the edge of glory, something big is happening behind the scenes... it is the blind leading the blind sometimes, especially when the biggest mouths are the most ridiculously optimistic and won't tolerate any dissenting or realistic views.

This company has been serving us up Nothing Burgers for years. But we still love it. Yet a watched pot never boils guys - its all jam tomorrow at the moment, the company is rudderless, nothing exciting is happening, but 800 or so people are still getting their paychecks every month so probably ain't in as big a rush as we would like.

Stop setting yourselves up for disappointment. Enjoy the 19p - 42p range. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

RICH3R, me old marbles went south long ago, but I have survived the inane chatter that goes on on this board everytime the SP goes above 30p. You think it's bad listening to Redknight1 and ByronBayGold on here every single day, post after post, hour after hour non-stop, when there's nothing happening at 26p? You can't blame me for amusing myself, and everyone knows I'm completely spot on when it comes to BnC. What do you want from me? "Buyers coming in now."? "This is being manipulated by the MMs". ? "This share is being held down."? "Nick is just lining all his ducks up in a row."? "I'm not selling till we get 136p."?

Morning me old custart tarts, I knows I been silent recently with me old crayons and me old crystal ball and me old fake humble yokel persona, but I's been doing me old Nostradarmy routine again and want to make this confident price prediction:

I ain't got no idea what or when anything will happen, but I can guarantee you that if a bit of good news drops and the SP jumps to over 30p I will appear back on this board - within four hours, maybe even three - to confidently predict that I predicted it.

No need to thank I. I's just a nice bloke. Think of it this way - I's got a brand new combine harvester and I'll give you the key.

Of course, if we crash down to 19p I'll be back to say TA ain't no science and I never did give anyone any advice, no sir, it was Elliot's Wave sir not mine, blame him...

Yeah, so what about all the "cheeky top ups" they've told us they make when the SP is doing well?

Absolute BS from most on this board claiming their average is even under 20p these days. The SP was in the 20s 5 years ago and still is. The old "I was in a 1.5p" crowd have been adding and adding in that time. besides which, even if you were in at 1.5p 7 tears ago and it's now 26p, you're money has been doing absolutely nothing for 5 years except be at risk.

It's a bit like bitcoin - most people in at $10 sold at $1000 or $10,000 then panicked and bought back in, but now claim they have held solidly. The gold rush is long, long over with SOLG. 44p would be a pretty decent offer these days, anything over 50p a bonus. Theres 2.2 billion shares remember, 1.1 billion more than there was 5 years ago.

The real money to be made was under our noses all the time - trading a share that remained reliably in the 19p-40p zone for 5 years. That's probably what the MMs see in it. No big conspiracy or manipulation, just creaming off the dreams of newcomers and the frustrations of the old guard.

The Board think we are undervalued?

I bought my first SOLG share in 2016.

Since then the Board have printed 1.1 BILLION new shares to keep it company, a 95% increase, massive, massive dilution by any standards.

By MCAP the company is not undervalued. It's just the small shareholders, the poor bloody infantry, who have been shafted.

Snouts in the trough - been happening for years, and normally punctures the rise to 40p when it happens. We've come a long way from people on this board wanting to have Nick's babies. Corporate procrastination, greed, dilution and the loss of shareholder innocence... the only thing that can save us now is BnC's much heralded Elliot Wave, the rising tide that will lift all boats, cure the sick, make the lame walk and the blind man see.

Anyway, what happened to that guy who smugly announced he'd just convinced his wife to invest £50,000 at 30p a few weeks ago?

Has he had the rolling pin removed yet?

I sure do miss BnC at times like this - the share is just hovering about and it's hard to tell which way it will go, and he is nowhere to be seen with his charts and his crayons.

Then suddenly - whoosh - we shoot up to over 30p in a few hours or a couple of days and *then* he appears out of nowhere to tell us he predicted it. But it's too late for me by that time, because it's already happened. What do you call predictions that come too late? Oh yeah. Hindsight. I think I'll complain to Watchdog.

Although... I'm a buyer at under 25p.
