Not been around much this week but keeping an eye of all your comments

Whatever you strategy or level of investment I hope we all come out of this smelling of roses, which I personally think we will. Maybe not tomorrow (who knows for sure?) but let's hope we get some news on a game plan to restart lending at some point soon and hopefully an end game for claims. That would do nicely as a starter for 10

I agree with you and what gives me hope is the fact GJ has said he was going to spend a good few days in the claims department to access what was going on and work with the FCA to stop false claims coming through CMC's
This was before he raised funds to cover to 150m so I'm assuming this isn't a best guess but a good reflection of what he found and expects
The goal of the FCA is to ensure honest and fair markets for individuals, businesses, and the economy as a whole. The Authority does this by protecting consumers, protecting the financial markets, and promoting competition
If this is true they really should be also making sure Amigo isn't getting screwed and also shouldn't give a stupid fine that would see them off as that would not promote fair competition

I agree with most of what you've said but
As you know GJ has taken on very experienced risk assessors and should be able to make reasonable assumptions as to what sectors are at most risk
For example if the applicant is a builder or construction worker and guarantor is lets say a Nurse you'd expect these two trades to be a pretty safe bet now and then moving forward once we are getting some normality back you could start to look at the likes of a hotel worker and baggage handler again
If claims aren't slowing down then lending again (safely as possible) at scale will be imperative so my bet will be Q1 . What is just as important is clear rules of engagement regarding affordability and think Amigo will work with the FCA to ensure this doesn't happen again. This way Amigo could work their way through the claims issues and come out the other side without more debt or raising finds via rights issues. Yes it will hit the profit margin but longer term come out a healthier business, I understand and feel so sorry for people that will loose jobs and livelihoods but there will be many people that come through the other side that have either had 12 months on less money, had a partner that's lost a job, people taking less well paid jobs that need a hand to get back on track and Amigo will be there for them. On a slightly different note, If I was the new PR person I'd look into building a relationship or supporting a debt charity. If applicants are consolidating debt but Amigo can't directly help they could refer on rather than that applicant going to less favorable options . I'm the FCA would look favorably on this. A little like gambling aware working with online gambling sites

The difference between this and PPi is you know what you are getting before you sign for it

On serious note, claims worry me more than anything else
Will Amigo finally get FCA on side and be able to kick back on false claims ?
Also
Will their funding for lending again be in place or renegotiated ?
If/once these questions are answered positively I expect a really good rise as the fundamentals for Amigo to be a profitable business are proven and think the market will be bigger than ever. Just need defined rules from FCA
If the questions aren't addressed or claims go over the 150m we'll see drops after next week
None of us know and we can only take the position that feels right to us
Personally I think I'll let my holding ride and I've access to more funds if this drops but still looks like it will be ok
I don't want to risk reducing the number of sharing I have and although I don't think it will be all good news don't want to risk it just in case.
I don't think it's going bust so can't see negative returns from these levels and very positive returns if the team get their ducks in a row :)

Those claims numbers aren't total numbers but those that formed the vreg agreement for Amigo to get sorted buy Oct
More complaints are incoming hence the rise to 150m and GJ did also state they are working with FCA to stop false claims
I do think we will be good but wanted to make it clear that ALL claim are by no means sorted
