Oldsid, laallee has more or less put it in a nutshell. Best thing is to look up investment trusts navs on the internet there are bound to be some info that is straightforward rather than some that try being to scientific if you get my meaning. :-)

Thomasuno I know most investors with a fair bit of knowledge will pay attention to the nav. as laallee says what he does in his view. I like getting in a a discount or near to fair nav, but if the navy’s a bit high and I personally think the trust will do well in the future I’m willing to pay a premium. :-). I had sold my profit in a fund yesterday but unfortunately for me the transaction isn’t completed until the end of the week so I think I’ve missed the overall drop today.

SMT did well selling part of the telsa shares before the drop last night . I’m now awaiting for the IPOs for diliveroo and for Darktrace which should be coming to market in the next month.

Discount to nav so I will wait and hope for a bit more of a drop if the USA opens neg. then buy .if it doesn’t drop I will still buy on discount.

It shows how fickle the stock markets are. A lot of it flys on a wing and a prayer.

Just did some digging on media monks website ,very impressed by that they have and do . Now checking out the other acquisitions.

Sea of red. Some very good buys out there now. Think it’s a good time to buy a footsie tracker as from what I’m reading on the likes of trustnet etc the uk is looking cheap.

I’m also going to add to BGCG as Asia will outperform the west and BGCG is quite a small fund at the moment.

Vir 7832 may be just as good.

This is beginning to look interesting as with the new issues recently institutional investors are buying at the premium.

I will agree the CEO talks crap half the time. As I’ve commented on in the past he makes statements that I feel is to drive up the sp probably as he’s got his dog to buy shares the day before his announcements . Both GSK and AstraZeneca are good companies and will turn around with the sp in time. Although GSK may just stay static more or less until the Split ,which I am looking forward to. Then watch both new companies shares go north. :-)

For my chat friends, for your info there are two IPOs. That are due to come to market in the next few months to keep an eye out for , Diliveredoo and Darktrace. :-).

More rubbish , TR64, do you really think your continual bashing of AstraZeneca and talking up GSK , which I have both, makes the slightest difference to the sp if you do you are in dream world.
