Well got a bit of a correction. It was either SMT or BGCG. But I think SMT has a better portfolio.
Having said that both are good and not a bed entry point now.

Now the sp is looking better value.

Hi fatprofits, I sold my bonds about 5 weeks back , but am covering myself with vangard inflation linked gilts which should start going up in about 5 -6 months when I expect inflation to start running . Having a good bout of inflation is probably the only way for the gov to get the country’s debit down I think. Hoping for another issue of NS inflation linked bonds which are a must .
Having invested in the last two issues it’s looking good, and safe.

Well I’m staying put and will not be selling . I have taken the long view when I bought at 1600 mainly on the split which I personally think will still be good .Obviously I didn’t expect the sp to go the way it has . But look at AstraZeneca and Unilever they are not doing to good sp wise right now.
I have also had some decent returns on the div so it’s not all bad for me. As sure as chips are chips the Consumer healthcare side will do very well when the split happens. Reason being inflation which in my opinion is going to go up a lot .

Who in there right mind would sell now as it’s near the bottom of the rollercoaster. Now is the time to buy big. Me I’ve missed out for the time being having bought and held at 1600, but still ok with it as the wheel will turn. I do wish they would do the split which will be good for us ordinary holders.
Got to take the good with the bad.:-)
Luckily I hold 25 funds which help and are doing ok.

Notice they have doubled investment in moderna as well.

If I can get a profit which is quite near I will be thinking of bailing out as well and wait till the budget as the new digital tax may well go up . How much it would effect s4 ????.

On reflection I have sold (small profit) as the nav is to high for my liking .will now hope for a drop to buy back . Still have my SMT which is set in concrete.

Having said that the premium is high.

If you put this up against smt from jan 4 it’s about 70 p behind also a lot lower shares in issue so maybe it’s got a lot of legs especially if they keep increasing the issue and increasing the % of what they hold. Just guessing.

Keep hold and treat as long term fund, depending on how much you can take as a loss I’m down fiveK so I won’t be going anywhere.

Well it’s already a poor sp:-). I agree I cannot see anything happening before the split but after Pfizer May come after the vaccine side.

I’m beginning to think this is being manipulated for a takeover. That would make the directors very happy and rich. Something smells.

The city will be upset losing out to Amsterdam as a main trading centre . Wonder what sweeteners they will put out to get the trade back.
