Agree , well done fatprofits. Still think this is a buying opportunity now. Was expecting a bit of a fall this morning but not this much. Still waiting and may buy after the dust settles and more news. I have £5000 in at the moment but it’s longer term so not to bothered. :-). NIESR worth following of predicted economics. They tend to be spot on.
The energy price cap has been talked about a lot recently, as another rise is expected to be announced in a few weeks. But what actually is it?
The energy price cap is the maximum amount that suppliers can charge customers in England, Scotland and Wales for each unit of energy. It doesn't apply in Northern Ireland.
It's designed to protect consumers from short-term price changes.
Every three months, the cap is adjusted by Ofgem - the government's regulator for electricity and gas. The adjustments are based on the price energy suppliers pay producers for the energy and gas that they then sell to consumers.
Energy prices have risen sharply as demand for gas increased when Covid restrictions eased, and because the war in Ukraine has threatened supplies from Russia. Experts have predicted the cap will continue to rise, potentially reaching up to £4,200 a year for a typical household.
Some government , why can’t they fing cut it.
Add to that the mirror the slimy sun and the star. Even the bbc news on the internet is going the same way. I’m starting to watch aljazerra , think that’s misspelt, but you get proper news not who’s won strictly come dancing.
Monty, Shaun, That’s why I’m flummoxed good set of figures. I bought about 400 I think off the top of my head. And have about 2000 odd shares. I was going to add but am sticking to my guns and staying with the 100 now ( GSK and Haleon on any drops) in any share purchases. Think the sp is a bargain and I will wait till the company trebles in price at least which I think it will within time.
