Yep the potential here is huge and its not like we are saying that because of some guess by the company, they have holes in the ground and are calling this field a contingent resource which means it is significantly de-risked. However people tend to be leery about these things until oil spouts from the ground. We are nearly there though and the ability to do some summer drilling will keep this news worthy all year around rather than just Jan to Apr. The other thing people will be worried about will be a capital raise but to be honest the number of shares in issue is less than 700M so it does not worry me much 50m new shares raises you 15m. They also currently own 100% of this field and I would be more than happy for a major to come in to help out for a share of the profits. Then of course this is quite ripe for a takeover which would be a shame as we would not get nearly as much as if we can prove the field up some more. Dafties on here would give the company away for £1 a share when it worth 10 times that.

Just need the company to get out and tell the story to people.

This is what always happens on AIM, with the sell on news crowd regardless of goo or bad. People read into this news and we will slowly move on up. There is still a way to go for this company, they have discovered loads of oil but they need to prove they can get it to flow before big moves will happen. What today has done is greatly improved the chance of success and the next move will to be to get a major on board. I don't want a couple of tiddlers just one big company with loads of expertise and deep pockets who will look to buy us out at a later date. All good but a way to go yet.

Shinra can assure you as a long term holder 14p does not even get remotely close after the 100 to 1 debacle I would have to get £1 quid minimum to get my money back

As somebody with a niece who works in one of the top institutions I can tell you that at this current time institutions would not touch this with a barge poll. Why because we have no income or other fields on the go, this is the first. If we don't get gas the SP will crash. Now imagine you have sunk 10m into and its now worth 2m. Your Boss will show you the door, if gas is found though and proven to be commercial, one of those risky trusts may take a small chunk. But not now, far too risky.

Last post on this nonsense . You will not get Jof to grovel and apologise or admit he was wrong therefore continuing to reply to his posts makes the situations worse and prolongs the argument. My investment in this company would be better off without your constant crying about appeasement and there should be blood. Grow up.

Scot the longer you try to get him to admit he was wrong (which he quite clearly is not going to do) the longer it appears on the front page of this blog, prolonging the whole argument for people to see. If you stop replying to him it will quickly drop off the front pages and will be forgotten.

Oh for goodness sake will you Jof and Scot give it up, its like two children and is frankly ruining both boards. Its not about my company is better than yours, its about all of us making some money. I have had this niggle in the back of my head for a few weeks and maybe you guys can help out. It was stated before Xmas that we were going for two drills this year and then because of the idiot in office in the US we lost 2/3 weeks whilst waiting on permissions. Given how early we gave up on Merlin because of weather worries how an earth were we ever going to get two drills in even without the delay. Was this pie in the sky from DW? In my mind I don't think we were ever going to drill the second hole.

There is definitely some organised selling going on. Somebody is reducing their holdings today, if it weren't for them we would be up very nicely indeed.

Poor reporting there. Whilst the results from the flow test were disappointing they now know why and will be able to sort it out. The rest of the drill was fantastic and it looks like they have found a massive world class reservoir. Lazy reporting.

Dazzle I would say so what!! If the US wants to ramp this up to silly levels I will thank them when I eventually get out. I have been on the end of shorts and people seriously deramping throughout the years. These people don't care about the worth of a company they will push and push and then get out with extremely large profits and I will be delighted to ride their coat tails for as long as I dare. Will people lose their shirts yes they probably will but we have all been there!

Sageman don't forget Oil Search payed 3$ a barrel when the oil price was way lower than it is now, you also can throw in UMIAT which will be included in figures. 3$ a barrel will be worth 2Bn to 88e which is not an inconsiderable sum to think about. Throw in that its 500m thicker than expected and who only knows what it could be worth. Has to flow though!!

Don't forget we are also awaiting results from PANR who look as though they have found oil 3 miles from our land in an oil patch that looks likely to also be under us. Its a free drill which could have massive implications for us. Its also right next to the Alaskan oil pipe and easy to connect into.
