Have a look at some of the other oil and gas companies out there who have over 10 billion shares in issue and still don't have an income stream. 700 million shares is actually a very small amount for a company with this potential. If they discover Helium in any decent amount raising 50 m will be easy.

The one thing I don’t understand is all the tiny buys and sells eg 15 shares. It’s been going on for weeks and does not make sense, unless it is some school project.

Of course it’s not commercial you idiot we have yet to break through the seal. If there was loads of gas now it would mean the seal was not working. Seriously have you invested without doing the home work or are you just trying to be nasty.

Absolutely agree Mr Space, too much gas would not be good, just enough to show it’s there, now let’s get through those seals and see what is there.

No resistance is going to be able to stop the SP falling when we have a seller hammering us every day. The charts are representative of a mass of people not just one very heavy seller. Its quite frankly amazing that the SP has held up as well as it has under the constant assault of this seller over the past couple of weeks. Without this ass hat the SP would be well over 25p by now. They obviously have far too many of these shares and were not prepared to take the risk of not hitting Helium. Anybody have any idea who they might be?

AIM rules specify that ' An AIM company must issue notification without delay of any new developments which
are not public knowledge which, if made public, would be likely to lead to a significant
movement in the price of its AIM securities'. So once they SPUD if they do not notify us they will be breaking the rules. As to Twitter they have to be very careful about what they say and do now as if the announce something or indicate something without it first being in a RNS they will again be breaking the rules. Everybody is keen for this to all start, but patience is needed, the company is operating in the middle of know where and it takes very little too go wrong for time lines to be broken. The CEO did well not to give a more specific date for SPUD he may have been better off just saying sometime in Jun.

Very surprised, but pleased this has gone up today (still have a few left). To me this another company doing a runner after drill results except they have been smart enough to get some of their money back and left the door open that if oil is eventually pulled up they will get some more. If you were convinced that there was lots of oil down in the ground that can be extracted why pull out, just seems odd. I am still awaiting a proper explanation as too the massive increase to the drilling costs, this was not a minor overspend it was a huge overspend that in the end did not produce the information required. Complete balls up.

Another wopper of a sale at 1640hrs £80000 worth, better to get them out the way now than if we get a good strike as they would sell into the rise and completely kill it off. Wish they had done this weeks ago!!

Yep somebody selling hard today, clearly de-risking before we start drilling. Annoying as it is you cannot be too critical as they obviously had millions of shares judging by the lack of a TR1 and will have earnt them a very nice profit.

Ddraig 15.16 yes somebody could very well do what you are suggesting, but at some stage its going to become obvious and people will absolutely pile in and that's where the smaller number of shares available will help push the price up. From one driller to another have you had a look at HE1 they are about to drill for Helium where there is a world shortage, just something for you to peruse!!

14.30 Sadly you are right about the new CEO, by now I was expecting a statement from him on his plans for the future. I am sure he will get there though.

Like all oil explorers they need to prove they can get this to flow, the market will wait and see until somebody says we have thousands of barrels pouring out every day. Then with the numbers involved it will go bonkers. Hopefully with the ability to drill in the summer and winter things will move on quite quickly; of course a serious major joining in the fun would also be a help to the SP.

Indeed Ddraig, however, I am already well on my way to recovering my losses here and they have only 700M shares and not 12B. You are right that they must be a very tempting target for a takeover, however, it will just take a sniff or that happening to send the share sky rocketing, anyhow we will see. Of course the same could happen to 88e if it could ever bring some oil to the surface.

Don't worry I wont, however, after six years I think I am allowed a couple of whinges I have certainly paid for them!!

Trouble is Jof to keep UMIAT we need to drill next year, what are the priorities here? As Desmond says below more money needed for Merlin, more money for Harrier and then UMIAT, plus we are supposedly looking for another partner for Icewine etc. That's a lot of money required in the near future. The company desperately needed this well to flow and they for all intents messed it up. Did we go cheap, I do not know, but this was a critical stage for the company, yet for some reason we seemed to start late in the season (yes I know about the 2 week political delay) there were power losses, tool breakdowns etc, we also seemed to give up very early. Anyhow, all water under the bridge and yet another year gone by with just enough hope to keep everybody hanging in.

Hi Saby I wish I had never gone to that first meeting, which was held in some smart s****y building close to the Globe. What really sold it to me was PB who was so passionate about Icewine. I should have jumped out after he sadly passed as I believe the company lost focus from then on. If this was all so close to making it why has DW jumped ship at the last moment, its not helped that we seem to be constantly drilling miles from anywhere which adds millions to the costs and requires a big find to make it worth while. UMIAT is not big enough to warrant millions being spent on the infrastructure so that's going nowhere in my opinion, are we really going to spend another 15m drilling to further prove that small field up!

Six years of ups and downs, more downs than up and not a drop of oil to the surface in a meaningful way. Yet more maybe and possibly so I have sold out my last tranche this morning. I will wait and see what happens this summer as to if I come back in but in the mean time I am heading to the other operator which is just to the North of us down at Icewine. They at least have flowed some oil to the surface and would appear have found copious amounts of the stuff. Oh how we laughed at them years ago when Icewine 1 looked so good and theirs did not. Still I will keep an eye on 88e even if it is only for old times sake. PS at least the new CEO looks like he can write a half decent RNS even if it only contains not much in the way of positive news.
