@Dai
I'll drop him an email and say you've been asking questions on the Kistos BB.
My average is about 17, so still sat on a loss. I actually feel much more positive about them for this season - I think having more than one option (shallow and deep) is positive and the improvements to the team (O&G experts employed now) will only help in their planning. DM admitted (in loose terms) that they'd screwed up with the rig.
I can't post too much detail but the information I got was post results, so wouldn't be classed as insider.
One contact knew someone high up within the drilling company and they were told that they the company were close to writing the RNS for a discovery. Just waiting to get the results from testing.
The other contact said that the company were certain they had the discovery (this point needs to be vague - sorry).
The 2 contacts are unconnected and their sources are different too.
That's what gives me the confidence in their target last year was good (and the new seismic seems to confirm that even more) - the execution was bad though.
Of course, that by no means guarantees success this year.
@Dai
Cheers Dai. I’m still heavily invested in there from last year. I can see a very good year happening for them. If the shallow drills make a small discovery, then that is a game changer and offers support to SP even if the deep drills aren’t successful in Q3.
Good year coming up IMO. :)
From an emotional point of view I have written off my money here.
I am going to hold onto my shares and see what they can achieve during 2022. If they can’t I’m no worse off, but if they do manage something the upside will be good.
So, you’ve joined LSE today just to tell us you’ve sold some.
Somehow I get the impression you’re full of BS.
Good news flow keeps coming here. Shame you’re going to miss out. See ya.
Considering you say you are invested here (and HE1 too), I you post as if you want the SP to crash even more.
If you’re not invested, then just ***k off as you come across as a complete kn*b.
I expect a raise at some point which should be viewed as positive IMO.
If this happens, it would mean they would be funded for next season if the worst happens.
It would make me more comfortable with the long-term viability of the company.
Excellent work skittish (and KeithOz).
I'm very excited about the new seismic data which HE1 will publish.
As a long terms holder since last year, I have been patiently waiting for this season to start. Not there yet, but it feels close to the action kicking off again (in terms of excitement).
After the kick-in-the-nuts of Tai-2 last year, I felt numb and was only expecting the SP to react similar to last year and peak about 27/28p. I believe that we are likely to exceed that level this year as the majority of last years holders who sold will be back I expect, and there will be more PI's who buy in.
The next 6 months will be good and once the SP moves, we'll get to mid teens again quickly. Just need that RNS to come out.
@Burt
I hope they’ve been using the last week to formulate some kind of plan as they probably realised this was not commercial on Tuesday night. However my expectations are quite low
All that is left is the hope that there is some way to proceed with one of the other deals even if that means share consolidation and a large raise. Like Amin I’ve written off my six-figure sum.
Cheers Bladey.
Right now it hurts - but I look at other things I'm invested in and a pre-IPO too, and am expecting very good returns over the next year. I'll hopefully look back in a few months and see it as a blip. I tend to be an optimist, although this week has been testing I will admit ;).
Before today market-wide losses, I was actually still up on my porfolio for the 2022. In effect, the ADV failure wrote off my YTD gains. Just hope the rest don't drift down lol.
This had been a good board with very little sniping. Good exchanges and discussion. Shame we seem to have been infested with the posters who like to revel in others misfortune.
I'm not giving up hope, but it's very much couched in realism.
Good luck to you too. Let's hope we're still posting on here at the end of the year then we know it's not dead.
However, it it is dead, then put us out of our misery sooner rather than later :-)).
First, I screwed up. I held even though others had advised taking some profits. Tough one to take, but I'm not bleating about it nor blaming the company. Why the seismic was wrong who knows - but they acted on what they knew, and even RISC confirmed this too.
So, emotionally, I have written off my investment here. Like Amin, it's a sizeable loss. The only upside for me personally, is that HE1 is bouncing back from it's lows (6.5p) and I've made decent gains in TM1 so that's softened the blow.
Possible next steps. I expect B10 is dead, and I don't hold out much hope of a plan to take it forward. If that surprises (by the analysis which I presume is still on-going), then it's a bonus.
However, the BOD do have a reputation/experience and have been working hard on the other deals which we all assumed were contingent on B10. If the deals stack up, then they may be able to do another fund-raise to pursue one of those. I can't see them wanting to walk away without trying something to repair this. It may be a long haul, but let's see.
Worst case is the acceptance that my remaining money is written off, which, compared to the current loss is a relatively small amount. I would rather them take their time to have whatever discussion they need to with city people and the possible partners in the other deals to see what (if anything) can be achieved.
It’s easier for CVN. There’s no real impact as it’s not their major exploration project.
ADV need to take time and consider options. I accept it doesn’t look good, but let’s see the final results and if they decide to do a raise to fund one of the other opportunities.
@glib
I was also in deep with ADV and taken a huge loss. The same thing happened with HE1 last year but I held all of my shares. I’ve been fortunate that I’d made up for my HE1 losses on others over the last few months. The ‘gains’ I’ve had today on HE1 have offset part of my ADV loss, but still nursing my wounds.
I can see HE1 having a good few months from here. If we get a deal of some kind that could really give the SP some momentum
GLA
Looks like a healthy small retrace before the next leg starts.
Next 6 months will be good here and I can see the previous levels being tested by summer.
@pjonesy
Yep, we played well and deserved at least a point. I think we’re getting close to being a very good team. Potter is a great manager IMO, I hope he stays a long time:)
@Amin
I’m calling out Oiler on HE1, nothing to do with the COS for ADV. Sorry for any confusion.
@oiler

Look at the geo COS. Also, they were not planning on just one drill, so that needs to be factored in too. The original plan was 3-4 drills.
So, 10% is garbage.
Wrong, it was not sub 10% COS, no matter how many times you keep postings the same crap.
Yes,it was a riskier drill, but the returns would have been much higher. For some reason you can’t seem to understand that. No doubt you’ll post the same garbage again sometime.
@dai
Yep, you made the wrong choice there ;) . Not my musical taste either.
Punk, Indie, Rock, Metal is more my taste.
