Interesting times for sure and great prospects. The difficult and dangerous thing is going for too much too soon. Better to take a considered approach and focus on areas where efforts will pay off. For example on the surface antiseptic surgical gloves seem a no brainer. In practice I'm not so sure as this is a cutthroat market. Useful in a non sterile environment perhaps but don't expect surgeons to get too excited. They don't really have a say and the buyer will only be interested in price. My vote would be to get in bed with a green minded supermarket chain and get them to use SYM's products to promote their green credentials. They can use their power to extend the concept to suppliers. Too many small companies with great prospects and USP's have either fallen by the wayside or taken far too long to get where they belong. Focus. Don't waste time or money on weaker prospects. GLA

Utilizing my usual ( and only ) simplistic approach I see it this way.... the clue is in the title... 'waste'. Can we run a significant percentage of the country on the bi-products from it for any great length of time? I don't know but due to shear scale I doubt it. As regards the removal of bun packaging Bilbs , good news for the green campaign but it does mean consumption is potentially sped up so not so good on the obesity front. Co-incidentally speaking of green plastics recently bought back in to SYM. Hopes but not High Hopes like here. GLA

Nothing wrong with a bit of greed Spicers. Trouble is I'm even greedier so whilst a bidding war tomorrow could pocket us a � or so , I would rather go it alone for a much bigger payoff. Working out even a small share of the markets we're involved in gives my calculator palpitations. Of course a bidding war in 2 to 3 years time would be fun? GLA

Yep , yet more good news helping to tick us along. That said , one day soon it won't just be 'news' it will be actual business , a nice chunky order with the potential for a load more chunks to follow. I look forward immensely to that day , it will be a game changer.

SHELL are in with us already. The nature of their business is massively forward thinking , it has to be. Shame governments are so short termist ! Exploration budgets are being cut as it gets harder to make money consistently. H2 is on it's way and it's not just because we have to move somewhere , it's loads of things. Just consider the rapid and accelerating entrenchment of 'green' in our society. It's not dissimilar to the alienation of smokers over the last 20 years. Quite impressed with Shell I have to say , the fun will ensue when other big boys start sniffing a little harder. Great prospects. GLA

Thanks Weyland..... that's kind of what I thought but if you look under 'Ordinary Dividends' just over half way through Final Results 10.4. the table lists FY18 @ 15p. This is a typo or I'm being particularly stupid??

Clarification please. Has it been guaranteed that 15p will be paid later this year as a special dividend? 5p to 10p is mentioned for FY19 and I've seen 15p for FY18 in the final results but can't see an announcement as such anywhere. Cheers.

Itsa. Compared to when I first bought in I'd describe H2 2017 as more 'Ankleish' rather than 'Heady'. Weirdly always been pleased to be in this one and excited for the years to come.... whatever anyone says....

Took my other half in to Stamford branch at the weekend. She's a convert. Couldn't believe the prices. Quality may be a touch below some others but this isn't a negative. Cards get chucked within a few days. In all honesty they could raise prices by 50% and still be massively cheaper than the others. An excellent place to be invested , sales will grow through word of mouth for sure. �3 return on the cards..... pun intended.

All of a sudden the news flow tap has been turned back on. Excellent. With regards to all the comments I suspect that by 2035 ( 17 years away!! ) most mainstream forecourts will hold several H2 pumps. Why? Because by this time we'll either have H2 cars or we won't..... personally I cannot forsee the latter given investment levels of the manufacturers. As regards branding , I don't care , compared to being on court or not it doesn't matter. People select their garage on price , coffee and pastry availability and which points card they favour. Of course if you buy an H2 car then garage choice will barely exist for a few years. As regards the numbers we've been here before.... 'staggering' doesn't cut it ! Need to juggle to find my �20k ISA top up somewhere. GLA
