In the past people used to use 1 share trades to "ping" for hidden liquidity if i recall, - but not sure if that is a thing anymore. The one share trades were aggressive and executed against hidden liquidity more than any other odd lot size - it also used to generate an increase in general trading after 1 share trades were seen.

having said that, this does go back a good few years!

it is of course possible it is good old fashioned manipulation, where someone keeps hitting miniscule trades to trick bots in to thinking that there is buying pressure and to move the price up

I can buy at 18.05 and sell at 18.001 this morning - tells me that our seller still has stock to shift, although I would suspect we are much closer to the end of it after the recent session

I note the 11.6m share trade this morning was reported as OTC. This means that whoever the seller was found a buyer off exchange and one of the parties reported the trade to the market for transparency.

If this trade was BG and I have no reason to think it wasn't, then we should get an rns from them.

If it was someone just below 3% moving a block of stock on, then we may not, as the buyer may also still be below 3%.

Either way, this bodes well, as large prints at lows, usually mean a seller exhausting and the pressure is likely to come off the stock.

This week, the Offshore Alliance had to deal with Jadestone wanting to use a converted cray boat (with no crash rails or firefighting deluge system) to bring cargo out to the Montara FPSO.

Jadestone had 18 months to replace its nitrogen bottles which were heavily corroded and at risk of blowing out and only did so at the 11th hour after NOPSEMA issued them a PIN which would have shut down the Montara operations.

The fund that BG have JSE in doesn't appear to have any other O and G related businesses in it - the list in the link doesn't seem to show any.

This selling by BG is more likely related to BG making the pacific horizon fund free of O and G
