The above is the EIA Submitted in August for the Vietnam project. The entire document is in vietnamese, however, some of the main points I have translated below
JSE has updated the FDP according to the mine development plan approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as above, with the goal of producing the first gas flow in Q4 2027 and is submitting it to the relevant authorities for approval.
The scope of the Nam Du and U Minh development plan will include the following main items:
- One (01) wellhead platform at the Nam Du field (Nam Du WHP) and one (01) wellhead platform at the U Minh field (U Minh WHP);
- One (01) vessel for processing, storage, and Condensate export (FPSO) at the Nam Du field (Nam Du FPSO);
- One (01) 14” pipeline, 1.5 km long, transporting extracted products from the Nam Du wellhead platform to the FPSO;
- One (01) 14” pipeline, 23 km long, transporting extracted products from the U Minh wellhead platform to the FPSO;
- One (01) 14” pipeline, 34 km long, exporting commercial gas from the FPSO to the existing PM3-Cà Mau gas pipeline;
- Development drilling of four (04) wells at the Nam Du – U Minh fields, including two (02) wells at Nam Du and two (02) wells at U Minh;
- Connection and exploitation of the Nam Du and U Minh fields with an overall field life of approximately eight (08) years.
From the information summarized above, the “Nam Du (Block 46/07) and U Minh (Block 51) Development” project is a new oil and gas exploitation project. Details of these development activities will be described in Chapter 1 of the report. According to the current regulations of Vietnam, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the Nam Du-U Minh field development project is prepared again and submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (NNMT) for approval before project implementation.
