I believe we have had a vote on this already. It was a proportional representation. The majority voted against, that's called democracy. Something you are in favour of... when it suits you.

I am surprised no one has said they are go by more at this price..... further to fall?

I believe the UK is parliamentary democracy not Republic.
Move on your views are wrong. People don't vote for a president they vote for an MP and a party.

Looks like we have reached 52 week Low.

You pay withholding tax on the dividends of DEC. 30% if you don't sign a w8-ben 15% if you do. Nothing if you sign a w8-ben and it is held in a SIPP.

They certainly do look cheap. I am still up 15% from purchase during covid.
They are definitely a bargain something I am always looking for hence no point in selling.
Would think they are worthy of a takeover or merger at this price.
Can't see a recovery any time soon though!

You should try not to let the way your parents abused you, influence the way you talk to others. They obviously let you know you were not living upto there expectations by making snide and condescending remarks to you. As to candidinvestor not only was his remarks not tongue in cheek he has made the same remarks again but just put differently. Suggesting he is a better investor despite investing in evraz and holding at 238p and not knowing why they were falling to....nill!! In fact you appear to be consistently making loss on mining shares. Yet thinking you should tell others they are poor investors.

Near 20% discount, as they nearly always trade at 20% premium I consider 3i to be virtually the cheapest in the investment trust private equity sector. Some on 40% discounts have always traded on 20% discounts.
Presently on 4% Dividend average increase over last 5 years is 11.9%.
Growth and a decent income + Dividend growth. What more could you want!!

Most people bought this during the pandemic I am still up 26%, as I expect most people are.

I am finding this annoying as I have other investments I wish to move into, which I think are undervalued but at this point so is Newriver, more so!
I will hold till march and flog then. Still up 25% so I won't cry to much if it holds up...if.

Looks like they have sold the fertiliser firm but not for all monies owed. Taking cut of the profits instead. No idea how much.
Sequoia normally uses up its revolving credit then issues new shares a bit below the recent price to shareholders and bit above to institutes,.
Can't do that until share price is above nav.

I beat the index consistently. Although the index is the one supplied by freetrade I didn't choose it myself. Its the FTSE ALL WORLD ETF (£VWRL).
I am guessing but I would say I have 25% in frontier markets. Bank of Georgia (up 68% since April) Georgia Capital up 8% since April but on 60% discount and a couple of Vietnam investment trusts.
I managed to beat the index by NOT buy dogs like FEET. It has been poor right from day one. I have watched it but never saw anything good about it.
On the other hand I bought Smithson during the crash was and i emphasise was up 126% on this before the rotation still up 45% ish.
So for those who want to beat the index all you need is.....Luck.
I will have to beat the index for more than 2.5 years 5 at least before I can remove the word luck.
