I am not sure if you can tell if there has been an impact on share prices IE the price could be lower without them. Either way you are reducing supply that would be imply a higher price.

Georgia capital didn't fall as far.

I have still got my 166p ones. Sold the rest for a small profit and bought....Georgia capital! Definitely doing better although down 9%.
On 60% plus discount, I can wait. Come to think of it I have no choice!!

Entirely? obviously not. Carney is still smarting over his brexit prediction.

In reference to inflation it is worth taking into account that wages are not increasing at the same rate as inflation. Hence wages rises are not inflationary they are disinflationary. People buy less. This has an almost immediate effect while an interest rate rise has time lag, in the case of mortgages with all the fixed rates nowadays a big lag.

I assume its because the shares trade on the US market as well. On the over the counter market.
There is an investment trust Middlefield Canadian Inc that trades on the Canadian stock exchange where you pay withholding tax.

LGEN have constantly stated that a fall bond prices are paper losses. They buy bonds to pay pension and hold to redemption. Hence they loose nothing. I am lost why people can't grasp it. its not like this wasnt stated during the pandemic where there was huge fall in bond price even investment grade. If I recall correctly £900 million paper loss for LGEN.

At least they are one of the few shares that are up today. It implies the market is happy with the price.

They could be running down the company. IE return capital to shareholders.

No option but to enforce so called proportional representation on the majority who are against it.

Interim increased 25% increase in Georgian Lari.
Sterling down Lari up. The latter is more important it's up against Dollar Euro just about every currency.
Last year's interim 34p this years 55p.... according to Hargreaves Lansdowne and a couple of other sites. The problem with that is the conversion date is 10 days before dividend payment date. Which is the 20th October (payment date). Dividend is 1.85 Lari. Which converted today is 61p.
Now previous interim dividend was 34p next 61p that is considerably more than 25%. Have I worked this out right 79% higher??

Supposedly it's beta is 1.5 based on the last 5 years. Hence it should fall further.
