"As I see it this drastic Consolidation will stop these people in their tracks"
Disagree. Regardless of the share price the amount of money people have to invest and are prepared to invest remains the same. It's then just a case of do you buy full or partial shares.
We've already had one consolidation which hasn't done us any good, another leaves me thinking it's getting close to time to pull out and swallow the loss.
How the hell he can justify the salary, and increases, he's on at the moment beats me.
Looks like a decent appointment , finance and O&G experience. Can't find anything on Linkedin at the moment

Probably not the ideal time but could NIgeria come back into the reckoning?

DJ49 what a stupid post. I'm quite sure there are some with more than £30k in here. Were they gullible too?
Kdogg20 is right. It's all very well speaking about 2024 but if we don't get cash in March 2023 it's lights out and goodbye. The issue is do we believe that Art and Ryan can do that deal. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt but they really need to deliver this time.
@3littlepigs, yes, although I haven't had time to read all of the prospectus yet. Got a business to run too.
The issue as I see it is that there was only one definitive thing said in that RNS i.e. we need funding by March, beginning or end we don't know, it wasn't specified.
It also said that we were negotiating on both the funding and the JV. Given the missed deadlines on previous negotiations on the funding that's not entirely encouraging. Negotiations can just as easily break down as they can conclude positively.
Blackstout indicated that he was "reasonably confident that COPL is on the verge of entering into a JV ". My question is simply on what basis? I've a decent chunk of cash invested here and I'm trying to understand as much as I can.
"scottydod - do you honestly think that COPL is going bust? If so press the "SELL" buttom immediately, & move on to pasture new."
I don't know. Art has said they need money by the end of March for operating costs. He's also said he'll announce "when" JV is sorted and is in discussions with lenders about finance. That sounds positive but we don't really know what's going on.
I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's difficult, as of today I'm sitting on about a £30K loss. There may well be a time I have to decide to cut my losses but it's not yet, he still has time to pull it round but it's getting close to the wire.
Nope Jiddy, been here about 3 years, not sold any, yet, but you have to be objective here.
He's said he needs cash by the end of March. If he and Ryan don't pull that off what do you think is going to happen?
"Got to admire the LTH nothing seems to bother them 9p they will still find positives, even if it goes tits up still think they will find some glimmer of hope!"
The glimmer is fading. There's still a hell of a lot of risk here. I don't really see a JV happening for the foreseeable. Why would they? Just wait and pick up the pieces in a couple of months time. He needs to get finance sorted out quickly but that's almost certainly going to be at a high cost.
