@biboergosum exactly. His responsibility is to his shareholders. I've said before trying to negotiate a deal when the other side knows they're the only game in town is likely not to achieve the optimum result. They need to s**t or get off the pan and he needs to tell them that.
"As we’ve seen with the above these well conversions are having an ‘instant’ impact on production…MAY oil figures should interesting😊"
I hope so. Like many others I'm significantly down here and disappointed in the result of yesterdays AGM.
My personal belief is that the JV probably isn't happening, hence the reason for the consolidation and greater scope for fundraising. My reasoning? Art made a huge blunder in one of his interviews saying this was far to big for COPL on it's own. Maybe a moot point as the potential JV partner would probably have known that anyway in due course but it probably made them feel a bit more emboldened in their negotiations and asked for way more than Art wants to give
But wtf do I know, it's just what I'm thinking :-(
He's right though, Art appears to have dragged defeat from the jaws of victory.
Also, what difference does a consolidation make to shorters? As far as I can see it makes no difference but that was one of his reasons for it?
"There is nothing sinister and all you have to do is confirm your share holding. So for example my email from a brand new nonidentifiable e-mail address read as follows:-"
If neither the participants nor shareholdings are, or can be, confirmed could you explain the point of this please?
I've had this back from them
"Thank you for your secure message.
I can confirm that I have logged this voting preference request with our Corporate Actions team for you.
We trust that we have answered your questions, however please do let us know if we can do anything else for you. You can continue to write to us by secure message. "
This is what I got back from II
When there is any voting options, you would find them on the website, by clicking on portfolio > voting mailbox. If a voting option doesn't appear, you can advise us what you would like to vote, and we can submit the request. I can see COPL isn't listed on your voting mailbox, but if you know what you want to vote for, please let me know and I will submit the request to our Corporate Actions Team.
"- now he tells us there might be a JV which most think would supply the financing we need, yet tha AGM docs seem to imply he wants to put everything in place that would allow huge dilution and self funding, as if he knows there will be no JV."
Someone posted the meeting had changed to only an AGM, not a special and AGM. Is there a source for that?
I am really p'd off with him to be honest. This single player deal he's working on under an NDA is too convenient.
Surely, to get best value for us, the owners of the company, he should be trying to get as much interest as possible? You don't hold an auction with only one customer
The company said the bumper payday was “reflective of record company earnings and stock price performance”.
And in those circumstances you can understand it. However, in ours there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between company performance and director remuneration.
