Until BT/EE are targeted and they obtain your information again. Moving to the future biggest player (once the merger goes through), will make hacks on EE/BTeven more lucrative and thus a more desirable target than TalkTalk ever was. As pointed out below, your data is never 100% safe as it's a cat and mouse game. THEY will get through at one point or another.

Indeed, I've been watching in dismay as it keeps declining, but at least there's been a slight rise today. Definitely a good time to buy in cheap, with opportunities on the horizon. Lets see what happens with Sky and BT. If BT/EE deal goes through, maybe it will drive further consolidation/mergers in the sector and lift the share price of TalkTalk.

I'm on one of their contract packages which was good at the time I originally purchased. They do have an unlimited SIM which they are now pushing which sounds like good value to me. They need to be pushing all services to offer value to the consumer and compete effectively. Need to do some digging to try and find out their plans...

I think we are all suffering here right now due to the considerable value lost. However, I do agree that there are good deals from switching meaning TalkTalk no longer have the advantage of being a value play... I was hoping for £5+ for a takeover, but I'd take the £4 highs if they come back. As you say, could definitely be more tempting for those looking to build market share.

Interesting product, but not sure if most consumers need this level of speed. I'm on TalkTalk Medium Fibre package which pretty much meets our needs for streaming movies etc I suppose the benefit here is what it would cost without going through BT, giving greater speed to the consumers and greater revenue to TalkTalk. Share price is moving up well.

So the BOD have confirmed a change in their investment strategy after being approached by various companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sector. All seems reasonable to me, but hope that sufficient growth potential is there.

Of course, but then the recent bout of price rises across the industry is also bad for consumers. As both a customer and shareholder of TalkTalk it doesn't fill me with confidence that their prices for existing customers is much higher than deals being offered by more "premium" brand telecoms providers, but then a higher margin on them results in higher revenues and boosts the share price... so it's a bit of good and bad for me.

Took a punt on this one, but all seems very quite. Hopefully something has to happen soon.

I hope so, but happy to hold with the current level of dividends. If someone does come along then it will be a nice pay day. Interesting that Dido is pushing for them to split Openreach in light of the EE deal. Should play out well for TalkTalk hopefully.
