how would they get that financed considering their current position ?

some days there are no trades at all, two buys isn't even a quiet day.

From my own experience in the telecoms sector (not BT) in regard to private sector final salary pensions (FSP), they are clearly a thing of the past and any companies with sizable liabilities are managing the situations as best they can but it is complicated with unions ect.

tactics I have heard of.
Restructuring / Redundancies targeting FSP employees and re-negotiating contracts with pay cuts/FSP capping.
Final Salary being interpreted in various ways starting salary + Inflation, average salary over period of employment.
Lump sum conversion to contribution based pension.

I would like to know how BT are actively managing this situation in the best interests of the company and shareholders.

Coming onto a shareholders forum and complaining about tweaks to your FSP isnt going to get you sympathy

I have searched and have asked a friend who works for a well known internet search company, we have both drawn blanks.

I have index search alerts for all my stocks and nothing like this has appeared.

I want to believe it, and if it is real I want to know about it to improve my webcrawling coverage of my stocks as it is a huge weapon in my arsenal.

can trade 24.2 for 50k shares, shares available of SP would be going up not down, looks like availability by sell/buy ratio is supporting current price.

could this be people trading out who bought at this weeks lows, ie unaware of potential returns in coming weeks and of course longer term.

the sells at a profit have to run out of steam soon the volumes were big but not massive and you have to assume some people are still holding.

all of course assuming there isnt II's dumping further like yesterday afternoon.

It would make sense to use Huawei at the edge, its non strategic, buy as cheap as tin as possible that works as you are buying a lot of dumb boxes. Huawei if they are a security threat cant really do much from their as it isn't control plane. If they were using Huawei in the IP or Packet core or aggregation (which they do not) that would be a concern.

"Works properly" I presume you are basing this on your own end user experience and that of your friends.

There is a reason Huawei rents and pays for office space at Adastral and it isnt because their 4G kit is the only one that works.

Please do inform us what over reliance BT has on Huawei ?. From my perspective BT does a very good job of strategically procuring from multiple vendors across its business. For example its core IP network is Nokia where as the EE edge is Huawei, and no doubt there will be Ericsson and Cisco ect as well. Before the EE acquisition Huawei was not a huge supplier to BT.

From my perspective BT has no more reliance than most other CSP's in Europe. Infact compared to some I could think of considerably less so (DT and Orange for example), as for Talk Talk who have huge incumbency with Juniper and Huawei they could have a very rough few years if circumstances play out.
