Looks like the event was heavily centered around 5G based home broadband using a Huawei device. so they event got canceled and they went ahead announcing a couple of non-huawei 5G handsets.

I get 5g based broadband that Verizon are targeting first, but EE are focusing on the same areas as openreach PON coverage. and 5G BB will be more expensive and have latency higher than fibre.
Mobile upgrade cycles are getting longer, it will be a few years before mass market phones will be 5G (inc Apple).
The 5G investment is huge requires huge investment throughout the network.

When mobile phones do have 5G capability what will drive people to require higher data rates than 4G that they are willing to pay a significant premium for?. That is the fundamental issue I have with 5G, yes more data will be consumed but where is the incremental service value to monetize the huge capex investment required.

Yes 5G will net out but it will take many many years to recoup the investments.

Prime example, Autonomous cars that the telcos globally are spouting requires 5G, you do not need 5G for autonomy, by definition Autonomous cars are Autonomous. Smart factories are just as well served by industrial ethernet and wifi AX and not have to change sensors ect to support cellular.

There is too much hot air around 5G IMO.

I sold this morning smidge under 8.4p, I have held since before the FDA announcement in February which is a long time for me. I was attempting to day trade the share today take advantage of the pre-agm rise and buy back in before June 3rd.

I am now going to stay in cash and decide whether to buy back in over the next few days. Also dependent on how my other holdings perform.

So one of the 200K sells was mine.

Sold out of a couple of positions that had mini spikes this morning and increased holding here, it has increased my average to 10.2p.
I have broken one of my own rules to not invest over 10% of my portfolio in any one share.

I have high confidence in BLOE to break my rule.

EE need to sort out 4G, EE was down again yesterday morning (all morning) probably more problems with their Ericsson EPC, and was flakey last week as well.

Im not sure being first with 5G is a good thing, be a follower, get it right first time and at a lower price.

Vodafone is going with different tech in each opco with brutal vendor contracts. Which is smart on a global basis (if intentional) but for a customer to be serviced by an opco that ends up with dead-end tech will be dreadful for customers until it is swapped out, of course some parts cannot realistically be swapped out !!

I do not know what is happening in Vodafone UK, but have visibility at three other opco's which are all different.

Pre trading down 18%. Could be more irregularities from yesterday.

Shame, there were a couple of UK companies in the running for this, one in particular Startup had a very interesting product that would of lowered the opex cost considerably. BT probably didn't like the risk profile and hasn't quite got to grips with how to deal with startups like Verizon and AT&T have.

If you look at the cadence of past RNS, the BoD seem to put out about on per month around 3 weeks into the month. possibly one could appear any day.Of course the past RNS's are not necessarily meaningful updates.

Motif would have to issue an RNS at some point before the AGM. Which is unlikely as it would create a different kind of ambush for what the next steps are (positive or negative outcome), they may not be fully prepared to deal with F2F so an unlikely scenario IMO.

This is going to go to the wire and test every investors bottle.

Nothing new, just confirmation of notice of AGM and todays financing is available on the investor website, unless I have missed something.

Nice prognosis based on the information we have.. The SP is going to bob around as people bottle it and sell and others take a punt and buy in. Nothing is going to change either way until an announcement.
