If you have exposure to equity risk and you believe the market's will avert to risk-off mode then sell your equity. You're either exposed to SEE equity or you're not.

Semi-auto and DMS is a rapidly expanding market and SEE is right at the centre of it. Factor in the fact that DMS has been mandated both throughout the EU (from 2020) and in China and no doubt in the US and the risk is NOT being exposed to SEE equity

The trick is adjusting your exposure to degrees of risk that aligns with your mental appetite for risk and aligns with your own personal financial circumstances

PMA’s Taylor returns from natural gas advisory visit to Australia

Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) is trying to decide how best to harness a newly-discovered onshore natural gas play to drive economic growth, and for five days at the start of July, PMA President & CEO David N. Taylor joined Pennsylvania state officials on a visit to the NT to offer help and advice.

“The Beetaloo Basin play is believed to be as large as the Marcellus, and of similar composition” Taylor said. “But there are numerous obstacles to overcome to get the gas and gas by-products to the domestic market where they are needed most.”

Why would international investors transfer capital from dividend paying equities (I think the average yield in international markets is around 5-6%) back to US bonds paying negative rates? That doesn't make financial sense. Yes, you may see a flight to safety (gold and US bonds) but that doesn't compensate for the opportunity cost of losing a dividend yield. In fact dividend payments hit a record high this year at around $1.4 trillion.

There is a direct correlation between US Fed rate changes and global equity markets (rising US rates can impose a cost equity markets but the imposition is by degrees)

here. Profit taking is minimal even on a grim day in the wider market and the volume on a dire day is relatively minor. Bodes well as if people were gonna sell it would be today on a crap day and after a 50% rise...all positive in trading terms

Inpex Considering Shale Gas Development in Australia

Sydney, Aug. 2 (Jiji Press)--Major Japanese resources developer Inpex Corp. is considering developing shale gas in Australia, President and Chief Executive Officer Takayuki Ueda revealed Friday.

In July last year, Inpex started liquefied natural gas production under its Ichthys offshore LNG project in northern Australia.

About 40 pct of the Inpex's group net profit for the year that ended in March 2019 came from the Ichthys field.

"There is room for expansion in Ichthys," Ueda told reporters in Sydney, showing his company's eagerness to produce gas from other offshore fields in order to increase the production of LNG at the Ichthys field.

After de facto approval for shale gas drilling made by the local government of Australia's Northern Territory, Inpex will "consider the possibilities" for shale gas development, Ueda said.

This is why I believe GM will accelerate, if you'll pardon the pun , their roll-out of SC across both Caddies and GM models. They've postponed Cruise. It ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Meanwhile, SC is a defining technology for GM. But GM is a conservative automaker as so many automakers are with both eyes on safety, reputation, legal liability and state regulation...So I suppose they are treading carefully

SEE DMS is now embedded in SC and UC. We're going nowhere and our DMS is that one extra layer of safety and security for drivers and the automakers alike
