EU regulations provide a time-frame for DMS introduction but I don't see a situation in which Automakers will wait and delay until the last minute to install such technology. I believe they'll begin installation in top end models (ala Cadillac Super Cruise) and then work their way downwards through the various models. There won't be a 'Big Bang' moment.

Proper patience needed now. The EU news is a game changer so let events now take their natural course. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw similar rules being issued by other jurisdictions now that the EU have set the direction of travel for DMS. It's simple. If Automakers want to sell their cars across the EU then they'll need install DMS. This alone will encourage non-European based car-makers to install as well to adhere to these rules to gain market access
