It may at first seem counter-intuitive but a falling gold price plays into our hands as this pressures NCM's margins at Telfer forcing them to seek out further efficiencies and sources of high grade ore to bring down AISC. Havieron gives them that Telfer-saving source of valuable ore which is why I believe NCM will eventually try and buy our 25% which may mean the difference between Telfer faltering again and Telfer flourishing

I used to hold JAY but sold due to delays etc but Dundas is a quality asset, well backed by the Greenland 'government' and I believe that will come good in time. Plus, you have other exploration assets. It needs firm confirmation of a off-take agreement from Canada and I think it'll strengthen from there. I don't hold at present but if they can secure a high volume offtake then it'll do very well. Apologies for o/t

Hopefully with a rising POG this should feed through into an increase in FCF at Newcrest but more importantly the FMV (whatever the formula is for FMV) should also rise to reflect the rise in the POG. It's a win-win for GGP and NCM

I was looking at a rare earth stock called Pensana (PRE). Its discovery is huge and I suspect is decent but it's Angola based and I have learned not to invest in African, Russian, Eastern European and some S. America based stocks. I don't wanna wake up one morning to news that the licence has been revoked or the govt has been overthrown. I had that crap with Mariana when Erdogan was almost overthrown though what a pity he wasn't
