Hi Weathergeek, not d2p has not been proven to be effective against viruses...yet!!

This is a quote from an announcement a few weeks back:-

"Symphony has initiated tests by an independent laboratory to determine whether they are also effective against viruses, and tests will be run on the COVID-19 virus as soon as a specimen becomes available. However, it should be noted that until such tests have been completed and verified, there can be no guarantee that Symphony's d2p technology will be an effective barrier to the COVID-19 virus".

I hope you managed to get some sold at your 730p price, as you states last week.

The dividend will be paid this Friday, it was approved at the AGM in April.

How do you know they knew about this issue in March, there is nothing in that statement that states when they became aware of it only that it has been found out subsequent to year end and since they have not had time to fully investigate due to the " very recent timing of this issue being identified"; I wouldn't say it was day/weeks ago, but that is my view?

The results were not due out in March anyway they were originally to be announced on 23.04.2020 and then moved to today!
Surely RNS/results would have to be checked by the companies solicitor before release anyway - but as you say you've messaged the FCA so I'm sure they will look into your concerns and you will be selling out soon enough.

I agree Jarv55, this could only be positive news to get companies back out of lockdown - I hope they have made the government aware of this service!!

MDJM, the notice reads:-
"Subsequent to year end the Group identified an issue regarding an aspect of certain process development work performed on behalf of a customer in 2018 and 2019 which potentially could give rise to a material claim against the Group. The Group has been in communication with the third party but is not yet in a position to verify or validate any information relating to this matter due to the very recent timing of this issue being identified."

It does not state the customer [third party] came to OXB in 2018, it states OXB have identified; SUBSEQUENT to year end a possible problem and contacted the customer [third party].

Therefore I read into that they have found a possible problem this year [very recent] that happened in 2018/2019 and informed the customer of the issue [the customer may not wish their details to be published at this time?] - that is my take on the issue and I agree with you that if the issue had been identified in 2018/2019 then they should have made an announcement at that time, but that is not how the announcement is worded?

I agree with Dogwalker...why upset about selling out at a big loss...you made the decision to sell..nobody else...OXB have informed shareholders of a POSSIBLE claim against the company which I suppose had to made public...directors are not allowed to purchase shares 2 months prior to interim/final results or 1 month prior to quarterly announcements...so I suppose the CFO hasn’t done anything wrong...he may have been wanting to purchase shares anyway. ? You would have been complaining if they hadn’t made the announcement and you had purchased shares...so damned if you do..damned if you don’t!!!!

@Lambcurry this it was they said "Aviva plc ("Aviva") today announces that the Board of Directors has agreed to withdraw its recommendation to pay the 2019 final dividend to ordinary shareholders in June 2020. The Board fully recognises the importance of cash dividends to all of our ordinary shareholders, and expects to reconsider any distributions to ordinary shareholders in the fourth quarter of 2020" - they have withdrawn the 2019 final dividend and will not be paying an interim dividend [that's how I read it] and will only make any decisions in Q4 what/if they might pay.

I sent an email this morning to ask if the BOD are preparing to have a cut in salary/decline bonuses etc and I have received a reply to state that "they will bring this to the attention of the board" - I'm not sure if that will happen or if the email will find its way in the bin or shredder before it reaches the BOD?? At least they responded. If anybody wants to send them an email to make your views heard then the email address I used was IR@aviva.com - GOOD LUCK

Further to this comment in today's post " The Board fully recognises the importance of cash dividends to all of our ordinary shareholders, and expects to reconsider any distributions to ordinary shareholders in the fourth quarter of 2020." - I read into that that will not be recommending an interim dividend either?? - I have emailed investor relations to ask what hit the BOD are intending to take to help the company retain money, are they going to decline bonuses or take a pay cut [other companies are announcing such measure!!] - will see if I get a response.

Well lets hope that the takeaways continue to trade (just like the UK Domino's) and it sounds like it could be a boost to their earnings and give them extra recognition within Poland. Domino's UK have seen a surge in orders since the lock-down. Finers crossed!!

@Taff8 - you've been strangely quiet so far this week - maybe cos there was no news Monday and that it has dropped until today? - just a thought!

The human race has survived thousands of years so far without an anti viral, fungi, germs etc toilet seat and as GW states you should be washing your hands after using the loo regardless (even before the covid-19 outbreak). Just my observation!!

Arsenal58, as Specialonek stated the Redde shares will no longer trade as per the RNS "Suspension of trading, and dealings, in Redde Shares 7:30 am on 21 February 2020" - therefore there will be no divvy!
