All this talk of antibody testing to direct best use of the vaccine is hot air. Everyone who has already had covid is being offered the vaccine whether they have antibodies or not. It was always a red herring.

You're right they're eaters from a reliable disease-free heavy cropper, hence the need for diversification. I don't like seeing produce going to waste! I juiced them and left the juice in a fermentation bucket for a couple of weeks then bottle conditioned with half a teaspoon of sugar and left in a cool, dark shed for 3 months. Carefully decanted I got a gin clear pinkish amber cider with slight natural fizz. It was dry and I could certainly taste the fruit. A pleasant surprise all in all though Roger might not approve :-)

The chimp vaccine is old school. mRNA is the future. More effective and easier to keep up with virus mutation. The great unwashed can have the brit****, I'll have the German vaccine thanks.

Something shoddy going on with this. The trials were all over the place with wrong dosages given and delays to second doses. First they said it was 90% effective with a half dose now they're walking that back. That was the government trying to keep up with the Joneses. I'm not antivax and I'd take the BioNtec one as I understand their data and the mRNA shot is more effective but no way am I going to be a guinea pig for this useless government and their rushed emergency use authorisation. Oxford boffins can shove their chimp vaccine where the sun don't shine.

Just thinking about it Mercia's stake before IPO will have been worth £23m. It's not a portfolio company but with Mercia valued around £100m it shows the potential. I'd rather hold Oxgene than Abingdon. This hidden value won't be apparent to most hence the opportunity.

Another Mercia company via the Northern Powerhouse fund. IPO next week. Looks like another good outcome with Mercia using the opportunity to take £5.5m off the table while still retaining 18.9% of a company valued at £92m. That will boost the performance of NPIF promoting more cash flow into Mercia's funds under management. The placing and purchase of the NPIF funds late 2019 has turned out to be very well timed just before covid-19 struck.

I’m a wannabe member of the groovy gang and committed to what I perceive is a growth/value play starting to attract the right sort of attention.
