The British Business Bank is giving the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund another £100m. A good chunk of that should go to Mercia's FUM edging us closer to the £1b target.
The Woodford hangover has taken longer to clear than I expected but the selling has been orderly recently and a bit of momentum will hopefully clear the overhang.

Humbrol, that was it. When we tired of them we used to hang the planes by thread from the washing line and shoot at them from the bedroom window with my mate's .22 air rifle. Carefree days.

Oh the toluene! What a joy that was. I can smell it now. I remember buying camouflage paint for a spitfire - dark green and ocean grey. The instructions on the little tins said to mix them thoroughly so I did - together. The outcome wasn't to RAF spec and another trip to Woolworths was required :-)
