Cumulative recent bad news of poor 1st quarter production results, yet a further investigation and Trump tweet on increasing tariffs. Without any good news it is safer for the big boys to short than to go long unfortunately. ATB, Scfc
Mine too - the recent bad news means it can be sold/played by the big boys. Not loved at the moment and despite the copper recovery this has not fed through to the SP. I think Monday will be a flat day at least ;-) ATB, Scfc
Billy, if the price changes (ie goes up) immediately you can still get rejected, even on 15 seconds timer. Seen this many times when compared with Level 2 quotes where prices change more than once in under 1 second. Also the nearer to 4.30 (close) you can get fewer MMs offering prices and hence more difficult to execute a deal. ATB, Scfc
Billy, it’s not the broker (such as iii, HL or BSI, etc), it’s the RSPs - the RSPs (aka MMs) dictate whether the deal goes through...in volatile conditions they all tend to act more cautiously and hence the order rejections, and these are more likely the bigger buy (or sell) order placed. I use both HL and BSI and can have similar issues in getting deals done if market conditions are a little excitable and prices are changing very quickly. ATB, Scfc
Since April 18th there’s only been one blue day...so 8 of 9 trading days have shown falls, many being 2% or 3% plus. Will today finally show some positive retrace? Possibly, perhaps probably but still much too early to say as it’s Glen. ATB, Scfc

Not that informative but a view at least...Scfc
Who knows where it goes next? Up fairly soon, surely? Got my SIPP average at c306 which would have seemed like a bargain....not heard from Tom for a while but think he bought in much higher and he’s traded this share successfully recently. It goes to show that the market can always catch you out, whatever experience or strategy you have. Fingers crossed for Trump sorting the trade war and metals coming back up. ATB, Scfc
