Re the snippet from the first ABB RNS ? ABB and AFC Energy to develop and launch a bespoke high power EV charging product for distribution through ABB's market channels from the second half of 2021. Available from July or sometime during H2? The use of the word ‘from’ suggests (to me) July was the expected rollout date.

JohnnieW, my thoughts exactly. That said, as with every company there comes a point at which progress is expected. Without doubt the SP isn’t going to move significantly on sentiment alone, and if it does, will soon drop back. I’d like to see a UK distributor (as we have in Altaaqa for SA) put in place and an update on all existing projects. An RNS with something we can call an actual ‘order’ is the only thing which will result in sustained SP movement. I agree with DW here; a lack of information causes drift, which in turn leads to negative sentiment. We’ve had plenty of information lately but it isn’t going to cut it anymore and tangible orders are required. I’m not impatient but I am realistic.
I certainly wasn’t expecting this. Thought maybe it would drift and drop slightly until a few days before the vote count. Looks as though those that need to know, know. Holding long but it has been bumpy.
An engineer friend of mine has recently landed a job with a fuel cell company. He also had to sign a NDA and is refusing to say what the work entails. Whether it’s us or competition, I will try to find out more.
Daz You say ‘punt’ but they didn’t have to hand it over, it was their choice. A small amount but maybe that’s all it needs to tweak the system for data centre use. Rollout of the system with ABB isn’t due until H2 so I don’t understand your logic. You also seem to have forgotten about MACE.
guavatree, last time I asked this question no-one seemed to know. If you don’t get a response I’d suggest repost the question in a week or so. Some LTH’s pop in only occasionally and could miss the question. They won’t be cheap, but tax breaks and legislation against diesel are on our side.
Wouldn’t be surprised if news has been held back until the seller has cleared. If they sell at 70 they’ll only be quicker to offload at 75 to 80. At some point every company likes to see their SP increase.
BlueToff Nice post and hopefully people can take time to calm a little whilst Dr A is away. He’s big enough to fight his own corner, but kicking someone whilst they’re down speaks volumes. I have concerns about Peel. No such concerns about Dr A and his trustworthiness.
