Last word on Robbo’s mate – to all the Naysayers17 Jun 2021 07:52
Just to be clear. When supporting the varsity of Robbo’s dialogue with his mate (who is a friend of the Medusa owners), I wasn’t supporting the content/meaning of that dialogue, I was merely stating that I believed that the dialogue was real. I did that for a number of reasons. One, I’ve met Robbo and he seemed like a pretty ordinary, down to earth guy, one not given to fabricating outlandish stories. Two, Robbo lives in close proximity to Richard Hughes, and since it’s quite a small community (Alderley Edge / Chelford), it’s quite plausible that one of his mate’s knows Hughes and/or Kamani. Three, Robbo emailed the MHRA after the Stickystocks email claim, asking the MHRA to confirm if the information provided to Stickystocks was true. Robbo published his reply from MHRA, which stated that the email sent to Stickystocks was sent in error. At the time, nobody believed Robbo and people on here were castigating him for being some kind of deluded fantasist. In the end, it was established that the email was in fact sent in error, fully vindicating what Robbo had claimed.
As to the ‘info’ provided in the dialogue, I don’t personally think anything can be read into his mate’s opinion that sales were slow to get moving. I think that was a bit of a ‘filler’ from his mate. I can’t really see that Hughes or Kamani would be ‘in the know’ on that particular subject. I think that the only thing that we can glean from the dialogue is that, as suspected, Medusa have been exaggerating their claims of being an uber manufacturer of LFT’s, so perhaps we have to slightly adjust our expectations on that front.
The only charge that can be levelled at Robbo, is that he’s a bit of a hapless sleuth, I’d have given the guy the full third degree. (No disrespect intended Robbo).
