Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine uses a chimpanzee adenoviral vector. It delivers the gene that encodes the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to our cells.
Our cells then transcribe this gene into messenger RNA, or mRNA, which in turn prompts our cellular machine to make the spike protein in the main body, or the cytoplasm, of the cell.
OK, please enlighten me, where else would a gene be transcribed if this article is correct would one assume it would be inside the nucleus of the cell. I agree it doesn't affect your dna but still uses the available mechanics to make mrna to be transcribed within the cell
Ginge, when I mentioned the moderna it was in the context of mrna I didn't say the moderna enters the nucleus. Only Az does that as an initial step. then uses the mrna produced. Moderna the mrna enters the cell. And replicats .
Mr Adventure, thank you for correcting me. I know I said dna vaccine. My understanding is it uses a virus as a carrier to get into nucleus of a cell where it forms a strand of mRNA (a strand of protein which is a code of how proteins are synthesisEd) . Which then leaves the nucleus and replicates. Much the same way as moderna vaccine which the trip into the nucleus.
On the topic of not being vaccinated. Before covid were there any mrna vaccines approved for use. (Moderna, pziver) were there any dna vaccines approved for use (Az). This is all new technology and the way the dna vaccine works in my opinion is similar to gene therapy. There has been no research done on whether exposure to the virus gives you the same cover and a vaccines.
Hopefully the official launch of the test. Following a 7am Rns. Or Rns shortly after the launch. Either way it is progress.
Based on novacyt, from CE mark to sales was from 6 weeks to 2 months, after CE mark the test was launched within 2 weeks then took time to sign manufacturers and supply contracts. Time has moved on, and manufacturers are in the pipeline. but patients are still required. The test is there and comparable to pcr tests. A complete game changer if used correctly. But do not lose faith now when so close to such a major achievement.
New affirmers 4/8 weeks. One stop shop for all your testing requirements
Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it nasalpharageal, and the NHS one is anterior nasel. Whoops someone maybe on the chopping block soon then.
I work in a hospice, the people coming in with covid will not die due to covid they are people who are terminally ill and have picked it up either at hospital, nursing home, shops etc. The patients are still recorded down as dieing within 28 days of testing positive.
Would be 2/3 weeks after the final patient has been dosed
I first bought in at around 50p in April of last year. I bought sng in March of last year at 24p. There have been some long waits. Alot of people traded sng between 40 and 60p as people have traded avct also. If you want to trade then fair play up to you. But when you get caught out you can't moan. Avct are not rushing to market and they have been getting manufacturers on board. Hold for gains and to be part of a completely unique and in demand company.
The SP needs a RK special at this moment. Is he still around?
But the innova test was still tested in Porton down, and UK government had results. Etc
Which Friday?
Question is do the innova tests detect delta varient?
With big ALs time lines I would imagine that could mean anytime between now and January. Thing is though. He does what he says he will. Just timekeeping issue.
Too early for the boom!!!!
Why thank you Mr PL. I thought I would get in early lol
Wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend.
Is the cat still in the box after all this time? Defiinantly dead by now!
